I have a 06TL 6MT, main issues after I bought at 34k miles were:
3rd gear synchro SB (took 3 requests to get it done)
subwoofer rattle
something with the axel, need to check my paperwork
and as everyone else hose recall
btw, if anyone is around the MA area, Joe @ Acura of Auburn is awesome!!!!
did pick up the 48k miles extended warranty from Bernardi right before 50k as I'd rather pay $1.1k (about $270 a year) to have the piece of mind as who knows what happend 0-34k

Recalls are generally good for the life of the car.
IOW - if you require the Power Steering Hose recall, you can get that, free of charge, as long as the recall is open. Your age and miles don't matter, as long as the recall is open.
This is because recalls are usually safety related and listed with the NHTSA.
TSB's on the other hand are general known problems that Acura will not inform you about. Occasionally the dealer will point out a TSB, but more often, you have to complain about a problem and if a TSB exists, the dealer will apply that fix. 2 caveats:
1. Your car has to be in the VIN range of the Recall or TSB.
2. TSB's are usually only covered if completed during the warranty period.
List of 3G TSB's: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/3g-tl-technical-service-bulletins-tsbs-3g-garage-j-016-a-613659/

i would also recommend the extended warranty as mine has just about paid for itself. I have a 04 TL, the power steering rack busted somehow. Just had a puddle of ps fluid on my garage floor one morning. Took it to dealer replaced under ext. warranty. Car was at 60k. Cost was $866.00

there is a wiper motor recall for some cars too,
and the ps hose is a `danger failure` if the connector breaks and sprays flammable PS fluid at the hot exhaust- FIRE under the hood at 70 is very exciting
get it done ASAP if not already done
call acura and register as the owner- 1-800-382-2238, x5 gets a human-
then ask for recall check for open (still needs to be fixed) recalls
Acura sends recall notices to the last known owner by snail mail- make sure they have your current by calling that 800 number

I've had both recalls on the PS and windshield wiper motor. Just replaced the battery today, after more than 5 years. The thing that frosts me is that I had to replace the rear brakes after only 22,000 miles. The fronts are fine, go figure.

07 type s, replaced navi unit including disc at 34k because my joystick and audio button stopped working. Around 35k replaced front right control arms, bearings, bushings, etc, i guess whatever is all around there that would cause a clicking noise which fixed the problem. that's all for now atleast.

I have an 07 TL-S with approximately 45k miles on it. Problems I had so far are battery dying prematurely, bad 3rd gear synchro, and repeated "tighten fuel cap" warning even though I always make sure to tighten the cap to at least 3 clicks. First two issues were resolved, but the third one is still giving me problems.

Safety Car
I have a 05 TL 6MT current with 40800 miles. Here are my issues I've had
1. loud pop heard when pulling off (twice) ended up needing the axle replaced (occurred twice; I think the second time it happened it was another issue) both were fixed under warranty.
2. stick kept popping out of 3rd; it took multiple trips but they finally fixed under TSB
3. Pouch on the back of the passenger seat fell off; fixed under warranty
4. Battery failed at around 30K miles replaced under warranty
5. Cruise control switch went bad recently. out of warranty now so I have to pay $240+ to get it fixed.
I still love the car, but considering trading it in a for a G37 or GS. The only thing that's stopping me is that I know it has a lot of life left and its been paid off for over a year; nothing beats a $0 car payment.

Driven to Perfection
'08 bought new May of 08...
Replaced driver's tail light due to crack in housing
Replaced back speakers due to being blown (I didn't do it)
Replaced driver's door pocket due to tears on the bottom
Replaced Passenger's seat back due to something sticking through the cushion
Replaced Driver's seat bottom due to something poking through
Replaced Battery at 30K service
Realigned rear bumper (it still isn't flush)
Replaced door mirror motors for being creaky
Other than these several minor items (I'm picky!), it's been a great ride.

I had the powersteering hose recall done, free of course. Car was out of warranty at the time.
Battery went out under warranty but I chose to buy out of pocket an Optima.
The battery is the only problem the car has had that wasn't caused by something I did in 80,000 miles.

I just bought certified used 07 TL-S from dealer last week. Getting messages regarding fuel cap. Code keeps coming up. Dealer has now had my car for one week. They cannot figure out yet how to fix the fuel cap issue. Cost to me is zero because still under warranty.

My car is at 44,666 right now...
Off the top of my head:
- Motor Mounts
- compliance bushings
- hands-free link
- driver door handle cable
- driver & passenger window weather striping
- Passenger window motor
- both outside mirror motors
And i'm sure I'm missing one or two things.
All been done under warranty
Hope that helps...

'06 TL 5AT NAV Anthracite
Happy to say my '06 AM/Ebony 5AT NAVI has been great and I just got 60K on the clock.
In the beginning, my passenger had an intermittent squeak that wouldn't go away. After 3 trips to the dealership they (and near altercation) they finally replaced the bottom portion of the seat which fixed the problem. The near altercation came when the SA started asking about who's riding in the passenger seat. When I said my wife is the passenger most of the time, I think he was about to suggest that my seat problem may be the result of my wife possibly being heavy. For the record she's very much a normal size, but he must've seen the look on my face and stopped mid-sentence.
I got the p/s hose TSB work done.
Replaced the OEM battery at 45K.
Replaced OEM tires at 53K and just replaced front OEM brake pads (and bleed) at 59K.
Planning for tranny fluid replacement at my next service.

My car is at 78K right now, 2005 6MT.
Power steering recall.
All speakers and sub replaced under warranty.
Rattles fixed under warranty.
3rd and 4th gear set replaced under warranty.
All this done before 50K and I haven't had any real problems to this day. Oh yeah, rear brake caliper froze up so I had to replace that myself about a month ago.

I'm surprised that only one person had to replace motors mounts.. Mine were gone after like 15K on my 08 TL-S...
Those things a craaaap. I wonder how many of you driving with torn mounts. If you feel any feedback from the engine rocking when going in reverse, forward or making sharp turns... motor mounts...

Power Steering fluid leak in the steering gear box at 8-10k miles. Took 4 trips to the Acura dealership, and finally a letter and phone call to Acura Client Services to get the fire burning under the dealership's ass to find the problem, which after 4 attempts after poo pooing off, was in the steering gear box.
At 10k miles, the steering gear box was replaced the fluid leak stopped. To this day though, the steering wheel has never felt the same though, and still feels like it fights me at times. Plus, I have had nothing but an utter nightmare with alignment issues with the car since the gear box was replaced, which the tire shops tell me can cause alignment troubles and uneven tire wear that I've been experiencing!
I'm just thankful the leak was found and stopped. Though it would be nice to not have these alignment and uneven tire wear issues. Acura of course will not admit fault and step up to the plate and replace my tires for free, despite keeping them properly inflated and rotated and the fact that multiple tire shops, including Bridgestone and Goodyear have told me this steering gear box replacement is the cause of these problems!

For those experiencing EVAP codes (fuel cap)... The fume exhaust tube gets clogged, thus preventing proper ventilation, thus causing all kinds of EVAP errors.
Mine had a spider in it, which woven a nice net in the purge tube... I realized this after I replaced the EVAP canister and everything else, never felt any stupider![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The purge tube sits on the driver's rear side...remove your left rear wheel, the black tube you'll see will go inside the frame, attached by one screw, end is incased in a white plastic cover.
P.S. yep that end of the tube is full exposed to the world, so it can get clogged easily.
