What are people getting quoted for 2005 TL w/Nav?
#81
Black
jrmoore/gtgrad95 -- Atlanta is "land of collusion" - I paid MSRP last October for my TL and it's still close to that (if not a couple hundred less). I bought mine from Ed Voyles but got the same song and dance from Nalley and Acura Carland.
Acura of Athens is less but you'll be in deep shit should the car need major service...

Just purchased an Acura TL from a dealership here in Baltimore area, Frankel Acura and was quoted $33,970.
2005 TL Auto with NAV
If interested, spoke to Kevin Rawls, his direct number is 410-598-3378, and there is still a few hundred more of play room in the price, but I didn't feel like going back and forth for the discounts.

so what kinda deals are people getting in the South?
i am willing to travel in the South for one--i am in Nashville. The Acura dealer in Cool Springs (the only one in Nashville) seems to know they are the only dealer, or at least that is how i took the salesman that helped me. on their lot, the cheapest TL with Naviagtion was $36,000+

Drove My 05 TL Home Tonight!
Well, at long last, I took delivery of my 05 SSM AT NAVI. For those price shopping, let me share my experience. I traveled 250 miles from my home near Pittsburgh, where the local dealerships were discounting 570 dollars maximum, to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, where I purchased the TL at a discount of $2320. The sticker on the car was $35470 and the purchase price was $33150. I searched and searched, and this was by far the best price I could find.
If you are interested, call Joe Ososki, salesman at Motor World, 1-888-282-0590. If you like, tell him Dano sent you.
By the way, the TL was a dream machine every mile home, and had I not been so eager to show my wife the car, I might still be driving!

"If you don't mind a drive then try Duval Acura in Jacksonville, FL. Walter Davis is their internet manager. He quoted me $33,800 for an 05/Navi/5AT. It was a bit too far of a drive for my taste so I had to decline the offer."
Wow, what a timely post. Walter Davis at Duval Acura just handed me the keys (literally) to my '05 TL about an hour ago. He spent about an hour with me going through all the details of the car. I am on total sensory overload. He can be reached at 904-725-8000. Got a great deal from him and I only live a couple miles from the dealership.

Just purchased a 05 SSM TL with Navi from Gillman Acura in Houston for $33,600. Price includes destination charges. I talked to Troy Cecil. Completed transaction over the phone, which took about 10 minutes. Told him what I'd pay and he said that he'd do what it took to make me a customer. He even threw in some wheel locks (small token I know). I'd called 2 other dealerships in town and neither would touch it. 2nd best offer was from Sterling McCall Acura ($34,000)

The prices are finally starting to fall in Houston. When I was looking early last month (October) the only way I could get less than $34K was to go with a broker whose fees pushed it well over $34K. I did get a quote of $34K but I would have had to go to Austin to get the car. Sterling McCall no-bid that price then.

2015 Advance
According to my local dealers web site, they have 18 '05s in stock and 18 '04s in stock. Most of them appear to be grey or black.
Hopefully my Subaru will last until December/January. If there really are 36 TLs on the lot, they must want to deal to move them.

I just saw this in the local Rochester business paper. To summarize, new car sales in the county are down 21% from September... That can only be good for new car purchasers in the next month or so.

33,000.00 last week. Long post sorry
I picked up my 05 w/nav for $33K. From list of $35,470.00. When we agreed on final price on Monday 11/8/04 I told him I'd be back the next day with deposit. I was sick next two day but called him and said I'd be there Thursday evening. Thursday morning they called to tell me the price quoted to me was without nav, they had used the wrong car?????? I said I'd see them that evening. Went there with my wife and they apologized that the actual price was going to be $34,900. I replied that in my business (commercial cleaning) if we give an incorrect price and it's our mistake we live with it to keep the client happy. They agreed and I was off with my new TL .

Blue in NJ
Signed for a blue 5AT/Navi for $33,870 incl dest, excluding 6% NJ tax and $438 doc and DMV fees. Could have saved $100 if I took one of the colors on the lot, but I wanted the blue/camel.

Would you mind telling what's the price you paid for, excluding destination charges? Thanks

Hey Bong,
This is definitely a good idea. I considered doing that with a family member (except at the time it would've been a maxima for me, pathfinder for relative) but it never came to fruition. I think going to a dealer with a "we'll be both cars or none" approach should be able to get a great deal.
Unfortunately though, I've got to buy the car before years end (small business tax deduction purposes). If you can move your timeline up to december, I'd be interested in following thru with your suggestion...

Getting hyped !!!
I'm just about set to order my '05 TL, RRP, ebony, no nav, with chrome wheels. I'm from Long Island and was quoted $31,252, not counting the wheels which I'm still waiting to hear the price of. I've seen some others here that have gotten quotes quite a bit higher then mine. I'm guessing it depends on your area, but I was still surprised at the difference. I leased my '03 TL from Island Acura on Long Island, and I guess I wasn't the only one who had problems with them, from what I've read here. Like someone said, they have a really pissy attitude, and make you feel like they're doing you a favor by selling you a car. That ain't cool. I also have a second dealer who promised to beat that price, and gave me free oil changes for the duration of the warranty. I have one question, has Acura always released the next years cars as early as they did mine? I picked up my '03 in the beginning of March, '02. Someone told me I might be better off waiting a bit longer to see if they might push out the '06 model early. Anyone have any thoughts on that ??? Thanks for any help I might get, and I'm glad I joined this group, I've been lurking in the backround for a while and was really impressed on how much some of you know about these cars.

I was quoted from a few places. Best so far is $32,698 for a 05 5at Navi (excluding destination and doc fee). Sound reasonable? Or, do you guys think there's a whole lot more room left?
