What next?

I recently purchased my 07 Non Nav ASM TL two months back and have been bitten by the mod bug hard (even after I promised myself I was going to leave the car stock). Winter is fast approaching and so is Christmas and as a gift to myself I'd like to do a mod or two to my car. Any ideas?

My current modlist is:

OEM Style Lip Spoiler
LED Interior Lights
LED Reverse Lights
LED License Plate Lights
Hoen Endurance Fog Lamps
OEM Door Visors
Super Computer Pedals
Trunk Tray
All Season Mats
35% Tint all around
KP Technologies Window Up Module (not installed yet)

I really want to install an a-spec kit but I want to wait till spring for that. I was thinking either getting a radar detector or some form of ipod integration. Ideas?

door visors help a lot. led lights are an easy job. trunk tray is the hardest..so much work involved as well as the mats. My guess is you don't want to do performance but just looks?

Yeah, not really looking to do much in the performance dept. Had a modified accord before this and while my intake/exhaust were cool when I was 17-20 I just don't want to deal with drone/noise with this car. I am trying to keep it as quiet as possible and honestly the performance of the car is fine for me.

My current wishlist for the car is:

Coilovers (tein basics or ss w/edfc)
Progressive Rear Sway Bar
Ronjon Legends 19
A Spec Lip Kit
BBK (wilwood kit most likely)
Ipod Integration
Maybe a Radar Detector

So basically mostly visual and eventually some handling mods.

The all season mats and trunk tray will come in handy for the winter, for the snow. I'd go for that.

Blackout/clear the headlights.

Type-S tails/sidemarkers

Put an LED strip or cathode tube in the trunk to give it a ton of light.

+1 After our first snow here in MD the other week.... I'm CURSING the idiot who designed the trunk area of our cars... don't get me wrong I LOVE my car but having to CLEAN ALL snow from the trunk/ back window area before opening is a PAIN...... I'm hoping one of my Xmas gifts is the trunk liner (snow on carpet is NOT cool)

I know someone who's selling a few sets of Supercomputer pedals (or at least they look the same) for about $120-130 shipped...let me know if you want them, they might go pretty quick

Just an FYI, the items under my "Current Mods" list are the mods I have ALREADY performed.

nicourt - HandA Accessories has the trunk tray for only $45!

As for ipod integration I was thinking it over last night and I calculated it would cost me ~ $600 including the cost of an ipod touch, iSimple, Kuda Mount, Dice Cradle, etc which makes that a really really hard pill to swallow. Rather add $150 to that and get the a spec kit and not install it till spring.

Familiar story here at AZ, including yours truly.

Spend the money on an A-spec body kit now. You never know what next Spring might hand to you financially.

Get the iSimple I love mine. I just have the wire going into my lower center console and I have a nano in there that I just leave in the car. I hate how those clips and things look with wires exposed and stuff. The whole setup was cheap, less than $150

I think I might go this route as well. Now I need to decide between the 8gb touch or a 16gb nano.

Is the iSimple basically just a connector to the stock radio? How is the sound quality?
I have an '06 TL and would love to get the iPod integration also.

Thanks!

There is like 50 threads in the audio section on iPod integration. Here is just one of many regarding the iSimple:
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-94/i-058-just-installed-peripheral-electronics-isimple-ipod-adapter-review-install-tips-697728/

To answer your questions, it is a module that allows your ipod to integrate with your factory stereo, ie control the ipod with the steering wheel, song/artist info dispayed on the nav screen, etc. Sound quality is amazing. This was the first mod I did to my car and my sole reason for finding Acurazine lol

Rims and a drop should be first order IMO. They add a certain look and style to a car.
