Found this on another site but couldn't figure out what they did to get this look...

on the website it said that the base car was a normal 04 TL





Im specifically looking at the front end, what mod is this. and how expensive would it be?

I believe that is a Type-S front lip kit (2007-08). You can get that from any dealership or online (probably a lot cheaper). He probably had to replace the whole front bumper to make the lip fit with an 07/08 Type-S front bumper. I can't tell from the pic if he molded the lip to the bumper, or it's just a really tight fit.

Plus, the cleared/blackened headlights, and the painted grille and surrounding pieces contribute to the 'look.'

 

And it has a blacked out grille and A-Spec wheels.
You would be looking at ~ 250.00-300.00 for the lip. The same for a new bumper, 50-60 for each fog light, 100 for the grille, and then add 300.00 for paint.
Correct me if i am wrong people with this conversion done...

Full Type S conversion.
300 for lip + 450 for bumber ( both need painting since AM is not a 07-08 color), 300 for fogs since they are oem 07-08, grille is part of bumber but its painted and also the hood trim

 

really? just for the front end piece your saying like 750?

i know she bought her front conversion cheap off of a member here ib18c... already painted... hell of a deal. I think theres a setup in the same color for sale right now by sc15... look in the black market

 

"just" is subjective, at a minimum you are talking about the whole bumper, the grill, and the front lip. These are not just "add on" pieces. Then add on the fogs to complete the look. Nothing OEM is cheap. Your best bet is to hit someone and let the insurance pay for it

I think this costed her a little more. I don't think the Type-S came in her color, anthracite or whatever it's called. She had to get the front bumper and aspec painted to match

an obvious mod.. but lowering contributes to the sexiness as well

 

Hell yeah. I think the TL-S lip looks weird when the car isn't lowered.

On another note: be aware any 07-08 OE painted parts cannot be ordered in AM.
