What Is The Ideal Tire Pressure?
I have the 17' OEM tires that came with the cars and I was wondering what the IDEAL TIRE PRESSURE IS (for the front and the rear tires)...I know it might say this in the manual but if some people have altered the tire pressure and found that it does give them a better ride then could you please post that up...thanks...

Not scientific but I usually go 3 to 4 # above the recommended by the mfg. air pressure number. Maintain the differential front to rear. This does not improve ride but gives a bit crisper handling response and maybe a little better gas mileage. I am picking up my 6MT HPT tomorrow and will probably add the 4# to each tire...and if it feels good just leave it that way and not fiddle around much beyond that.

The manual recommends two sets of pressure. One is for lower speeds (< 110 mph) and the other for high speeds. When I took delivery, the dealer had bled the tires down to the latter. The ride was noticeably worse and I took it down to 32 psi on all corners as per the manual. The ride is a lot better. More info in this thread.

As I said, if it feels good I will leave it. My other cars have very firm suspensions and I am used to not having a cushy ride. I will put up with a harsher ride for crisper turn in and cornering stability. Most Buick owners would not like any of my cars!

Meant to add that 35/32 is higher to start with than the recommended on my late and lamented Maxima which was 29 all around. It was too mushy. My recommendation to anyone is to go no lower than recommended on the placard and go higher in increments until the ride is feeling unacceptibly hard to you and then back off a pound or two.
Also remember to go a couple of pounds more unless you check and adjust about weekly (recommended) as the weather is changing at this time of year...lower temperature = lower pressure. In spring you can be a little light and expect to have to bleed off a little as you get to summertime temperatures.
Tire pressures are checked "cold".

I use 39/35, too. I pretty like their handling and riding now.
Originally I didnt' pump them up to this high 'cause I ever complained the stiff suspension, but after thousands of miles' break-in, I feel better and start to have high pressure on tires.
The higher pressure in tires won't give you too much harsh riding, and it saves me some times without worrying my tire pressue during the winter season.
