I noticed today from the driver side near the front tire, this hose fell out. Car sits mostly for the winter, wasn't sure if a rodent chewed it. It seems cut on 1 end, ripped on the other.
2008 TL type S
seems to say TA YUSA on it repeatedly.
No lights on the car though, seems to drive fine. Brakes work fine, theres pedal pressure. I drove it about 5 miles after I got this out. only thing I can't test is AC in the winter..
Hose looks cut on 1 end and ripped on the other. So this piece is about 10 inches.
It was driver's side front. The hose was sticking out from a hole in the engine shield on the bottom, it looked like the one towards the front furthest to the right looking at the car. I saw it sticking out, got under and grabbed it and it came out.
Having done countless tranny drops for clutch installs and 2 engine swaps in my car, I'd consider myself pretty intimate with the engine bay in 3G's.
Therefore I'm pretty confident in saying that that hose didn't come from your car. I can't think of a single hose that is that straight for ~10 inches; every rubber vacuum, coolant, PCV, brake, etc hose is pre-formed with some bends and turns in it.
I think it's just a piece of garbage that got flung up on the highway and inserted into the engine bay via lower grill opening.
