I drove down to Miami and let my friend drive my car and when I got it back there was this weird clanking sound coming from the front driver side wheel. I took off the wheel and saw this.. does anyone know what this is?

I looked around and it seems to be a trans Bracket. I have to drive back tomorrow on it, you guys think it would be able to handle a couple hr drive to the dealership?

You are going to have to be more specific, what "this" are you talking about?

guise, its the thing that looks broken.

it seems as if its a mount of some sort.
either the trans mount or the subframe mount.

if driven with a broken mount other mounts could possible break

It's the sub frame mount. It will literally take you ten minutes to replace. Won't cost you more then $20.

what I find ironic is I noticed mine needed to be replaced and for the price of the part..( 19 dollars OEM )
I figured why not.

Replaced it and guess what. It also eliminated this clunking noise I would hear when going up my driveway.

I wasn't even looking to "fix" the noise. Just figured this mount needed to be replaced since it had separated from either ends.

Took me longer to jack up and remove wheel from the car vs unbolting this part.

Sounds like your friend beat the shit out of your car. Either that or it was a huge coincidence that something broke in the time frame he was driving it.
I don't let people drive my car, but that's just me
