can you follow it to where the other side goes?
and is your dash lit up?

usually; if you forget to connect a wire; your car will run like shit or something on the dash lights up telling you; something is wrong

 

my guess would be something to do with your headlights or fogs (from the location of that wire) but i'm unsure.

 

everything is fine no lights on im confused... and to order online i need new front end harness which is expensive..... i also need to find if i can buy the turn signal harness seperate... you cant from the dealer

 

that makes 2 of us. what do you mean?

 

that goes into the main harness at the other end. there are no lights on dash and there is nothing around where that wire can reach to go to. the only thing that would be there would be the resenator chamber

What year is your TL. Perhaps it's for fogs. Is there another wire hanging on the other side?

 

Its a 05 so no fogs

 

what year and how many wires are they and what color is the wire/wires?

 

2005 auto. 1 wire is black other is white

 

Where's the outside temp sensor wire? Can you take a close up of the connector/plug?

 

OP, what color is that connector (grey or black?) and how many cavities does it have? (I'm assuming the connector is female. Or is it a male connector?)

And this is the driver's side, correct?

 

you are going to have to follow the wire .. take a picture of what you find and maybe we can help more ... it could be some random aftermarket wire that a previous owner installed and never took out.

 

following it back would be time consuming, painful, and kinda foolish... Why doesn't the OP try turning on the fog light switch (and other switches as well) and seeing if the connector has power. The clip holding it to the frame looks OEM but I can't say the connector/plug at the end does...

 

Huh? Since when did 05 TLs not have fogs? Is this USA or Canadian?

 

OP, as near as I can tell, it's likely an aftermarket wire/s. Your left front impact sensor is missing. According to the ETM, it should be mounted in the two holes marked by the red rectangle.

 

Maybe thats what the wires go to.. the plug is gone the car got hit there n the wires go into the main harness

 

Doubt it, the plug for the impact sensor is yellow.

 

There is no plug on that its just taped

 

The wires to the impact sensor are Red and Black/Yellow...

 

those holes for the impact sensor are not bolt holes... i looked for a sensor on passenger side i see nothing theres the airbag sensor in the front thats it...

 

Time to buy your own ETM. I'm done.
