What do you pay 4 insurance?
I was looking at a different thread, unrelated to insurance and notice even young drivers are paying less then I am.
Please post your insurance cost, term, and reasons why your insurance might be the price it is.
Right now I am paying almost $1200 every 6 months, I am insured thru Progressive. I am 34 y/o and use my car for business <<<around 40k miles a year. I have had 2 speeding tickets both in 2003 ...one going 88 in a 70 and another 96 in a 70. I think the 96 really burned me, got dropped by state farm for ticket over 25mph posted speed limit.
Yes, i always have to learn the hard way.

the carrier is American Express property casualty. They are a low risk insurance provider for drivers that have not had any moving violations or at fault accidents. in the last 6 years.
I declined rental reimbursment and roadside assistance. Don't really need it.
$1200 sounds about right if you had two speeding speeding tickets. I got one in my Mustang while I was on AMEX (63 in a 25), and I knew they were going to drop me if it was reported to them. I got other qoutes for other carriers taking the ticket in consideration and I got qoutes ranging from $1200 - $2400 per 6 months. I finally decided it was best to get a lawyer and get the ticket reduced it wouldn't be reported. The ticket was reduced and was not reported.

Speeding tickets + using for business + 40,000 miles a year = higher insurance rates.

Also, the area in which you live will factor into insurance rates. Multiple expressways, accident statistics, car theft statistics , etc will be key in the formula. Tampa Bay has significantly higher than average insurance premiums. One drive across the bay bridges or 'Malfunction Junction' and insurance companies see dollar signs.

$829 /6 months in Maryland w/ 250/500 deductible, road assistance & rental reimbursement included. No tickets or points. 50/100/50 coverage.
I personally found Progressive to be expensive when searching for insurance. Geico and State Farm were high too. All three wanted 1000+ for 6 month premium.
I eventually went with AFI since my father is prior military I'm eligible to use them too.
Oh, and... State Farm charges a $100 premium for Navi

$950 / 6months for 04 TL and 94 Accord EX, myself (26) and my brother (23) on the policy.
I have 2 speeding tickets from 2003 that are burning me...got them reduced to 4 over speed limit and another 9 over speed limit but NC is the most f*cked up state when it comes to DMV and Insurance, I have 3 points for going 4 over and 3 points for going 9 over since I got the tickets in-state and in NC insurance people apply their own points call "insurance points" from your record, so they stay for 3 years after you get the tickets even if you go to driving school and get your DMV points reduced.

If I'm not mistaken, the SF Bay Area has one of the highest insurance rates.
