I'm surprised that DVD-A % is as low as it is. I have a hard time going back to CD or XM after hearing the superb DVD sound. I wish they'd release more classics in this format. I'd kill for Pink Floyd's The Wall or even some AC/DC.

I'm actually pretty surprised that no one here yet confessed to listneing to XM Kids 116? I'm pretty certain many of us have kids in the 6-13 year old bracket. The songs are actually pretty cute. The remakes by the original artist are great (Melissa Ethridge's Like U does...), The Weird Al songs like "Trash day" and when frogs croak are great. Who could go a day without the accopelo (sp?) "Baby Kangaroo" and Naked Mole Rap? Where are you guys living? In the gutters? Of course the coverage on the NASCAR channel is pretty good as well as the CNBC stuff. I LOVE to trade stocks and have frequently been seen eating lunch in resturants simply because they have CNBC on the TV. Now with the car, I can swing by a fast food joint (Arby's) and head to the park instead. Leave the radio on and park under a tree. If I hear a stock I've been holding is getting ready to tank, I can simply push one button on the steering wheel and say "Dial Broker" and it's done. Sweet!

Enjoyed some Classic Richard Pryor on channel 150 yesterday, nice to hear stuff not censored for a change.

 

I have tons of cds, so I listen to them the most. Love the quality of DVD-Audio though. Hopefully XM sound quality will improve and be consistent accross all stations- I hate having to adjust the volume everytime I change stations! I'm happy to hear that someone was able to burn to a DVD and then play in the TL. According to the manual it doesn't play DVD-R.

 

Ahh! Been dying for some Floyd. Found a DVD-A for Queenstryche. Silent Lucidity sounds very Floydish, but ain't nothing like THE WALL. Maybe soon.

On my 4-5 hour trips between Phoenix and the Palm Springs area each weekend, XM is with me all the way because there are stretches of that trip where radio sucks (if you can get anything at all). I do listen to DVD-A sometime, but for me XM is it. I put a Delphi Roady XM receiver in my MDX.

 

What about listening to the V6...

I do not drive (no commute) so most of drive time is true quality time, or errands.

I listen to XM 60 Soul Street a lot the Real Jazz/Acid Jazz Stations / FM talk radio / and the CD player.

My old car had a dying staticky radio and the speakers where shot to hell and I could not justify putting a new one in the car and did not want so it's still a novelty to have
all these things to listen now ...

So little time so many choices..

 

In order of preference:

XM
iPod (you can't argue with jiggabites of years of a music collection)
DVD-A (Blue Man Group ROCKS!!)

There is no other choice.

Conclusion --- 63% of TL owners listen to trash.

 

XM, a little AM/FM radio for traffic (until the XM launches Seattle) & news and an iPOD connected via iTrip.

Are there any other connection methods available for the iPOD without splicing? The sound quality using the iTrip isn't the best.

For the person that said the same songs ar eplayed iover and over... I only hear that on channel 20.. and that is what it is supposed to do.. other than that... no way
