What do you guys use for brake dust

Obviously water helps but is there some product that you guys/gals use on the brake dust that settles on the rims?

elbow grease, no matter what cleaner you use there will still be some left on the wheel and you end up cleaning it by hand anyways.

cleaning more frequently seems to help removal. Letting it sit for weeks is a no-no.

I use Meguiars wheel cleaner. Spray it on, wait a few seconds, and most of the dust sprays off. Whatever is left wipes off with soap and water.

I also use Maguiars wheel cleaner, works really well and doesn't ruim the finish of the rims.

might want to put a little wax on the wheels/rims (after you clean it). It may help "resist" some dust, but, as stated, nothing is gonna stop it from sitting... cleaning regularly is the best solution.... so it doesn't get caked on...

I clean my almost daily with paper towels left over from cleaning the windows with invisible glass, and the glass cleaner seems to help with removing the brake dust. I just use the dirty window towels and keep the rims clean before they get really grimy

I washed them every week

Hello,

Compare to my old Probe GT, this car makes a lot of dust brake, specially in front of the car... I washed them every week (I do uselly less than 120 miles per week) but my front wheel are always dusty.

Is normal for the 04 TL?

I acutally tried this new stuff called Teflon by DuPont. It's unbelievable.. Good for Wheels and Tires and safe for all surfaces.
Check it out. Never seen anything work as well.

You can get it at local auto stores.
It even takes away the pain of having to clean the back of the wheels.

The brake dust is a direct result from the type of brake pads Honda uses. There are some that leave very little dust - others really hog it up. I have used kevlar pads and they are pretty clean - best ones are metallic - but they will chew up rotors faster than others.
