I think someone posted about rust on their rims - was he (or she) referring to the rust I see where the rim is maybe joined in the center with the rear part of the rim? Is this a common problem?

the only rust you should see right now is on the rotors, after it has rained

I agree - I will look again and try to grab some pics. Thought I saw something on a couple of the rims.

TBone, I'm not sure if I'm the guy you mentioned about...

Since dealers keep saying "normal" to me and this seems common to the public, I then adopt ppl's opinions to spray some WD-40 on them. It's working perfectly so far.

I believe he is talking about either the rims or the rotors, not the exhaust.

The rims are Aluminum, they can't rust...are you talking about the rotors?

The rims can certainly corrode. I hope that the new type of finish on Acura last longer than on my 1999 Accord. My mags are ruined, even if I have winter steel wheels.

not at all - as I careully looked at my exhaust tips etc after reading the posts. Are people taking very short trips that have this problem? My mom's car would eat through exhaust systems as she worked like a mile away so the car never heated up enough to dry up all the condensation / water in the pipe.

Rust-like look seems limited to the from rims only. If time permits from all the fathers-day festivities this weekend, I'll take a pic so I know if I should take to dealer and get me two new rims.

nope, rotors/discs I am used to that - especially after a wash or rain. I will take pic and show you. I have not tried to scrape it off, I am assuming it is rust. I'll stick my nose in there and take a pic - then we can all check it out. just on the front two. Anything different about the front rims compared with the back rims?

Here are some pics of the rust on my wheel. It seems to be where the wheel meets the rotor. (not the rust on the disc - this is norm) The first line of rust you see.

Is this a bad rotor or something? I have not pulled a tire yet.

The wheels are aluminum. They're not going to rust. The hub is steel. It can and frequently WILL develop surface rust.

Although I can't really see it from your photos, I assume what you're talking about is a bit of rust rubbing onto the back of the center section of the wheel, where the lug-nut area meets the hub. If so, you have nothing to worry about.

I agree, it looks normal to me also. If you are really worried, take it to the dealer, but don't expect too much from them.
