What to do with mudgaurds?
Should I just take them off? Is there any potential damage from driving if I don't have them on? I really don't want to paint them and have them put back on. Give me your opinions....take them off or leave them on in black.....

I'll buy them from you, if you will be getting rid of them..
I have WDP TL-S, I would paint them WDP and install them... It's more of a function than a look, it depends what you want out of them.
And Welcome to AZ!

In my opinion based on the last two vehicles I had without splashguards...I did notice small chips along the lower half of the doors & rear bumper.
Being that I own my TL, it was in my best interest to have splashguards. I took them off immediatly upon purchasing my car and had them color matched. It's not a big deal to uninstall/reinstall them.

^ They are so small, and in such a "going to get banged up area", I would think you could basically spray these yourself and it'd turn out fine.
If it were me, I'd freaking Maaco those little things, lol. Long as the color matching is good.

My 04 had em: my 08 doesn't. For looks I would leave them off. However, they do help avoid potential rock chips and tend to keep the lower rear of the car cleaner longer. Depends on what's more important to you. I really don't miss them.

i had to take off my splash guards cuz i got the lip kit installed. i got it taken off within a week of owning the car. it's WDP if anyone is interest. PM me =)
IMO if you don't have the lip kit, it's nicer to have the splash guards on, color matched of course.

My car came with non-painted ones and i took them off. After taking them off i noticed the paint had been damaged, the rears definitely left marks on both sides that i couldn't rub out.
I think if you do alot of highway driving these will save you elbow work (rubbing out road tar) and also rock chips. Just make sure to take them off and clean all the gravel out and give the underlying paint a good coat of wax occasionally.

I was considering the colormatched splash guards since you can get them on ebay for like $100 from the acura dealer... but I kind of want the Aspec kit as well... so i think i will jsut hold out for the Aspec next season instead of throwing down money now then removing and getting Aspec later on.
