I mean afterall I am the KING and at the top of the list as far as having an accident in July 2007 with my TLS with just 16 miles on it! I know there is nobody here that has had an accident with their TL with less miles.Thats right, 16 miles & owned the car less then 12 hours after driving it off the dealer lot. Gotta love the old drivers folks!

 

I think after a certain age we should be testing older folks behind the wheel to see if they are still competent to be driving on the road. And it always seems the older they get the bigger their car gets. They should be the ones driving around in little smart cars so that they can actually manage handling and maneuver them properly.

 

OH, too bad!! That promotion ended in 2010. We were giving away a brand new 2010 6MT TL with full bolt on's and RJ Kit. Person with lowest mileage before wrecking their TL-S (must be under 25 miles). No one won.

Ouch, and I thought I was pretty bad luck having something happening to my car after a week of owning it.

Was on my way to the bank at 8:45am, in a great mood & enjoying my new car then.......................BAMMM!! Right in the passenger side quarter! 77 year old lady pulled out of strip mall without looking. She spun my car around & I was facing north in the southbound lane of roadway. BTW she caused my neck to snap & now have 2 herniated discs in my neck. She never said sorry, never asked if I was okay, NOTHING.
So I sued her, I listened to her deposition & she has had 2 more accidents since 2007! My lawyer sucked in court, a total idiot. I LOST but state farm gave me $5,000 to be nice, lawyer got 50% of it. I'll NEVER SUE ANYONE AGAIN, it's a complete joke & lawyers twist the true facts.

 

You win a one-week ban! Congrats!

 

Hopefully no bagels were harmed in that accident.

 

In Jersey you need no threshold to sue and make any money and without it you're out of luck. We've had no threshold since its inception, but it’s very costly, about double the regular premium, 3 cars 2 drivers, full coverage with the raised maximums, no accidents, and no tickets $3700/yr. Car insurance is almost as ridiculous as the Jersey real estate taxes.

TVL, I almost beat you! I took delivery of my car on New Year's Day 2008 at 2pm. Obviously, it was very cold and didn't get to drive it very much that day. The next day, I was driving to work and some young girl turned out in front of me. If I hadn't swerved and went onto the curb, I could have won the prize Bearcat was talking about.
