I have been thinking about putting the TL up for sale and trying to buy one with Navi. With the quirks that I am having it really has me thinking about it, some of them are driving me crazy and at this point in my life I just do not have the drive/time to tear the car down and fix them and would rather not dump the money in the car. Nothing major and none of them need to be fixed, just annoying small things to me.

I have a 2004 6 spd with 70K on it.

A-Spec wheels - the good, they are the 8.5 discontinued gunmetal and have a brand new ($900) set of tires on them. The bad, they have some paint peeling and would benefit from painting/power coating. Nothing real damage to the wheels though.

Since I bought it I have also installed a CAI, 3rd muffler delete, hyper white interior lights, Infiniti center channel and tweeters.

I have also replaced the plugs, cabin filter, and rear brake pads in the last 1,000 miles.

Mechanically I give my car a 10 out of 10
Visual I give it an 8.5 out of 10 because it does have some small rock chips, but nothing unormal for a 04 with the current mileage.

 

It also has a A-Spec lip. Here is a current pic.




I would be looking to replace it with a 2005-2007 TL around 50K.
I would want one with 6 spd, navi, and black interior. I am open to any exterior color other than maroon/red.

I figure that the money I would spend ($1800-2500) on navi and the small thing I could just about get a newer one with Navi.

 

why not turn you car back to factory (keep the rims, cai, etc) and then put them on the new TL. If you don't have the factory parts, find a TL for sale with them and ask the dealer if you can swap them out. Look for 05+ TL w/navi like you said, you can get a great deal and end up only paying about 2K difference.

 

I will most likely be getting the car from a Manheim auction unless I find a steal locally.

How would I trade them out? No way I would trade my car in they would not give me anything for it.


Ball park figure, realistically what do you think I could get for it? Prices are all over the place so I am not really sure what to ask.

I got my 05 with 80k for 13,400

 

If I could get $14,000 for it i would sale it right now, I could put 2-3000 grand with that and get a few years newer with 20K less miles.


I might just throw it on CL and see what happens. If I am going to do it I need to do it now. I drive a lot for work and put about 2500-3500 miles a month on it so the miles will rack up quick.
