What could be the cause of this???

I’ve been doing my own oil changes for the past year but only today I noticed this and how wet it is everywhere! This wasn’t like this last time I changed the oil back in march. Nothing was out of the norm I change oil, filter and drain plug every time brand new everything. Haven’t felt any real changes in how the car drives. I have a 2006 Acura TL base with 212,xxx miles.

Probably the oil pump seal. The J-pipe, oil pan and timing belt need to come off in order to replace this seal. To confirm you can clean off the oil and recheck to see where it's coming from.

If you can go higher up and trace it look at your steering pump as well...
Mine gave it up and was drenching the engine in power steering fluid...which looked like oil.
Good luck!

+1 for power steering pump. I thought I was going to have to have the oil pump resealed, but it turned out being the power steering pump.

OP ain't coming back.
Probably ended up drowning in the oil pouring off the engine onto his face.
Chinese water torture style.

Hello my peeps thank you for the input and replies! I have an appointment for valve cover replacement and they’ll be checking the pump as well, I’ve been keeping an eye on it and really hasn’t changed since I took this picture and the car still drives great no codes or anything that needs attention.

I'm honestly just relieved that you're still alive, Mike.
