What Color Interior?
I'm curious what people think of the different interior color choices. My wife and I looked at all four (we have an MDX in Silver with Ebony).
We thought the ebony did not do justice to the fit and finish of the new TL's interior. Everything sort of blended together,
The Quartz really enhances and draws attention to the materials and accents in the car. The different shades of gray and the black of the dash and steering wheel all fit together really nicely, and remind me of the BMW and Mercedes in that respect.
The Camel and the Parchment seem to too sharply contrast with all the black on the dash, steering wheel and doors, and the brushed aluminum panels.
What do you think?

I like the grey interior, and agree that it does accent certain parts better than the black. But, I have a grey interior right now in my current car, and bought a TL with black interior for 2 reasons.
1) I wanted a change
and
2) I didn't like how the lighter colored leathers show the dirt and wear. when the grey leather is clean it looks amazing and brightens up the whole cabin. When its a little dirty you feel like you are saving a sinking ship. You clean it and 3 weeks later it dirty again. I'm not saying filthy, but just a little dirty. Sort of like when you buy a brand new pair of white sneakers, they only stay spotless for so long...

I wish I could see an Anthracite/camel combo. I've seen the parchment on some other colors and like it, with the exception of the wood trim that comes with it (I'm assuming, since every one on the lot is that way).
Still, I ended up ordering ebony with my Anthracite. I may regret it when summer comes, but I like the contrast between the ebody and the aluminum trim.

I know the grey interior will require more care on my part, but I just love this car in pearl white, and the grey looked so nice in it compared to the parchment. Ebony interior was not an option. By the way, I agree that the parchment/aluminum/fake wood is only so-so looking.
The camel looks nice, but its a little harsh to look at all the time, and yeah, it would look strange with anthracite.

I think a lot of it has to do with the exterior color you choose. If you're looking at an SSM, the ebony interior seems to contrast better with the outside of the car. In the case of WDP, however, quartz looks awesome. With the exception of black, I generally prefer the interior to be a different color from the exterior. Of course, this is only a matter of opinion.

Camel interior is the way to go. If not, parchment. I just can't imagine Black/Anthracite wih Ebony. I have seen Abyss Blue + Camel, Redondo Red + Camel, and off course mine, Nighthawk + Camel. I love that fake wood!
I have the parchment interior with the faux wood. I love it. For me, the other colors just didn't do it. I feel it has the richest look. I don't like the camel with the faux wood, they don't compliment each other very well. Quartz/Ebony were a bit too contemporary for my taste.

you guys are so lucky to have a choice. In Canada if you order 6mt its only with the Ebony interior. You can't even get the quartz in Canada. Some dumbass thought people would prefer parchment and camel over quartz. The 5AT gets 3 choices. In Canada 6mt's come in black, white, silver, red or athracite. 5AT's come in silver, white, black, blue, and desert mist.
I must be the last person on earth to buy a silver a car for the first time. (lol) I've never had a silver car before and never had a black interior. Although it seems like everyone in the world has that color combination. I hope silver goes out of style so that I can stick out in a crowd....

I am buying this week and am down to the:
Black/Ebony or Black/Quartz
or
Anthracite/Ebony or Anthracite/Quartz
The Anthracite/Quartz would seem too monotone I believe.
I am probably close on the Black/Ebony or Anthracite/Ebony because just like SLVR04... I have had gray interiors for 16 years!!
However, if I went with Quartz inside, does the trim inside differ
depending on the exterior vehicle color?

Go check them out for yourself and see what appeals to you the most.
Hey gang!
A couple of other things to consider. Wanna know what color ACURA considers the best looking for the TL? This is a simple analysis gleaned from the advertising industry. Take a look at the color that is predominantly used by the manufacturer. In this case, the current TV ad and the Acura brochure, use, or prominently feature, the silver car with the ebony interior.
This means that Acura considers silver to be the most flattering color for the lines of the TL; the color that best shows off the musculature of the vehicle; that matches the wheels and creates the most harmonious, ensemble effect.
I tend to agree. I far and away think the TL looks best in silver (white's not bad either). Silver is also the easiest color to maintain, and will still look best in six years. It will also have a slightly higher resale value (common for silver cars).
As to the interior:
My favorite interior is the Quartz, but we can't have that in Canada, at least not this year. However, black is the easiest shade of leather to look after.
I don't like the parchment or saddle interiors, because they clash with the black dashboard - the same as a brown leather jacket clashes with black leather shoes (and none of us would make THAT faux pas, now would we?). Plus, fake wood is cheesy; go real or go home.

I've noticed that Silver/Ebony is the ONLY color they really show fully all over the Brochure.

Silver is nice but I don't like the carbon fiber inserts. I have never seen quartz but I have seen the parchment and camel and like both better than ebony.
I'm partial to the Black with Quartz or Ebony, Abyss Blue with Quartz and Desert Mist with Black. The Black with Camel is nice too, just not for me (don't like brown interiors).
I did see a White with Quartz this weekend at the dealer and I must say it was stunning. For some reason the Quartz with White make the gray interior seem even lighter. It really popped.
I agree that the Silver/Black thing has been over done. Heck, I've had 3 silver cars in the past 10 years myself. Going to change this time however. Problem is that from what I've seen at my dealer, Acura is either turning out lots of silver or no one is buying it. They always have 5-6 silver on the lot. They seem to have a lot of Anthricite too (Anthricite, the "new" silver?) I've seen a lot of new cars in this color, especially Camrys.
