What Color?
What Color?
I'm going to buy a 2004 TL soon. Need pluses/minuses on color selection. I'm either going to get Silver/Quartz or Redondo Red/Camel. I don't want Black interior -- too hard to keep clean and gets hot. Parchment is OK, but not as rich looking as Camel. Also thinking that Silver is easier to keep clean than Redondo Red.
What do you drive and what do you like/dislike? Thanks for your input :P

Deep Green Pearl/Camel
This is the fastest color*, and the green tint of the window glass makes the car look integrated.
* Don't ask - it would be one of those RR long answers that gives those with attention deficits headaches.
P.S. I have always wondered about people that have to ask others what color to get.

The Redondo Red/Camel looks amazingly nice, and I haven't seen too many of those. Between those two I would get the red. My friend has the silver/quartz and I don't like it - it's wayyyyy too common.
Red/Camel
While there is not a bad color combo in the lineup, between your two colors go with the red. Granted the silver will be easier to keep clean, but the red/camel combo is gorgous and the red is a very rare color for 2004. Plus, the camel interior is my favorite too.
If you really like red, and you are not going to buy really soon, Acura is coming out with a new red for the 2005 model. Maybe you can wait and see what that looks like. So far, there is no information on it except someone said recently it would be a brighter red.
Unless you don't want a brighter red. If so, go for it. Nice color.

I originally wanted ABP but I've had dark blue cars before. Very classy but a pain to maintain, hot in the summer, and resale is a problem. I would have considered WDP if it came with ebony interior. I briefly considered AM but too hard to keep clean and too hot in SoCal. Red? Been there, done that. Looks hot for a year or three, then starts to oxidize. At resale time, it's hard to unload because most people want "classic" colors (white, silver, black).
I ended up with SSM/ebony which I love. (Quartz resembled my wife's Odyssey a little too closely.) Looks clean and elegant even when dirty.
My 2 cents. It's all subjective; buy what you like!

I ordered an 05 SSM with an ebony interior. I presently drive an Ivory Parchment 02 Lincoln LS with
a parchment interior. I must say that at first it was striking...beautiful and creamy. But as it ages it begins to show dye transfer, scuffs, finger marks...and they are harder to remove. The light leather seems to have more memory. So, I doubt that I would recommend such a light interior.
Regarding the interior, I think that the SSM with the ebony interior is classy and rich. I dislike the quartz interior because it looks inferior in every way to the ebony....cheap and "plasticy"
Furthermore, the SSM always looks clean and gorgeous...first rate sedan.

It's all about ebony!
Waiting for my '05 Anthracite/Ebony. Ebony is the only way to go. I've had an Integra with black leather for ten years. I don't get why people think it's difficult to keep clean. Ten years later it looks WAY better than a light interior would. Plus no fake wood!
