What did you have before your TL?
But I'm happy to say again that I gave up my 2002 TL-Premium for the '04.

Lease ended on a 2000 Toyota Avalon XLS and replaced it with the 04 TL. I love the TL but there are a couple of little things that are different that I kind of miss. I liked the auto headlights on the Avalon and the fact that the trip timer reset each time the car was restarted (hated the fact that the mileage also reset). The Avalon was really quiet and it is taking some time to get used to the additional road noise in the TL. I miss the RDS in the Avalon as well.
However, this are niggling complaints because almost everything about the TL is just plain more fun than the Avalon. It is by far the most comfortable car I have ever owned, I love the Audio system, I love the Navi, I love the bluetooth and I love the voice command. I also like the interior better and I thought the Avalon interior was pretty nice. I love the fact that I never get trapped on expressway on ramps with this car.
I have no regrets and this is the best and most fun car I have ever had. My only fear is that I love to drive this car so much that I am going to blow out the mileage allowance on my lease.

TL-SHAWD 6MT Rocks!
I traded in my 2000 TL ($9800) for the new 2004 TL... the 00TL was aging pretty fast with 114k miles, it needed new brakes too. So instead of spending $500 on brakes + major scheduled maintenance , I decided to get new Brembo Brakes and a 04TL around them!

Was bored to tears in my 2000 RL and decided to "step down" in the Acura brand and slum with a 2004 TL.
Boy, was I wrong.
Best car I've ever owned and I've owned plenty. Perfect mix of sport and luxury. The TL has become the one car I miss the most......the Legend. The RL is a blah nothing car. The TL brings back the juice that makes the blood boil.

Burning Brakes
Had sold my 2000TL-P in 2001 in preps to buy the Type-S then never did. Paid off My 98 Accord last March, still have it, then just plunked down for this TL.

Three Wheelin'
Due to budget constraints, I had to "downgrade" by selling my '03 Infiniti FX45. I miss the torque and hp of the V8 but hated the fuel economy. The resale value on the FX is absolutely terrible (at least on my 45)---lost $11K in the first alone--YIKES!!

Dumped the 99 Volvo S80 T-6 that I had just put over $3K in repairs (strut springs, O2 sensor, coolant leak, tie rod, etc) with only 69K on it. Glad to get rid of it for $15.5K after spending $45K on it new. TL is a much nicer car all around. I had a Legend before the S80. I'll never buy a Volvo again....

Traded in my 92 Legend 5spd for the TL. I miss the Legend mainly because I had it so long and it ran so well. TL handles infinitely better and faster. Legend was more comfortable, and I miss an external trunk key latch and the larger trunk.

I traded in a 2001 Civic LX. ![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
True, but the real story is this. I had a 1995 Integra GS-R (loved that car). It was stolen in 12/02 (from a church parking lot while I was in choir rehearsal -- there is a special place reserved for theives like that). Bought a 4 cylander '98 Accord as an interim car. Inherited the 2001 Civic - 12.500 miles on it. Have teenaged kids who will need a car. Kept the '98 Accord (93K miles) for the kids, traded in the low-milage inherited car. Have a fun-to-drive TL that I don't plan to let the kids get close to.

I sold a previously wrecked 03 TL-S. It was repaired and looked perfect, but it just wasn't the same car anymore. Had it never been in an accident I'd still be happy with it; I know I'd have checked out the 04s, but doubt I would have traded. The 04 doesn't seem all that different on a spec sheet, but in reality it's a much, much nicer car. I always wished I'd had the option to get my old one with a stick. Now I have a 6MT, and that rocks all by itself. I'm not at all glad that I wrecked my old car, and I took a $$ hit in selling it, but I am far more satisfied with the 04 than I ever was with the 03 on its very best day. Zero regrets, countless smiles.
