Its either between v-led or autoillumination. I think I am going to do V-leds for mine. I just cleared mine too and I need to replace asap cause the stock bulb is ugly.

Get V-Leds (I hear they may be out of stock though)

Stay away from autolumination.

Im using the vleds in my turn signals and I have some autoluminations in my sidemarkers. Sidemarkers was not by choice as I had them made, I would have put v-leds, but anyways both are holding up fine so far.

Rocky, I'd hate to get on your bad side!

I have to confess. My Autolumination switchbacks have started to fail and I've only had them for 5 months or so. Some of the amber LEDs don't light up when the turn signal is on.

I emailed Autolumination and they told me it's been too long for a warranty. My next set will be from v-leds.

Autolumination gave me some bullshit excuse that they were charging me a restock fee on some totally fried bulbs (smelled of cooked silicon) which they said worked which I knew DIDNT work that I had sent back for a refund due to defect. Avoid at all costs. They lie to make $.

V-LEDs are out of 1157 Type 1, I think are for only the type S. I recently bought mine, 7443 type 1 the other day. The discontinued Type 1 for the 1157.

V-LEDS 7443_48_SMT_WA

V-LEDS dual color changing HID white/amber 48 M-SMT parking/turn signal bulbs 7443 7443NA.

You will need the resistors and mounting plates also.

The other bulbs are the fog light 68 SMT HID white.

My order was $125, saved $19, $114 total

Anyone that installed the 7443 switchbacks, did you have a problem with the bulbs not clipping into place? When I installed mine, my LED fell out of the harness and into my headlight, it wasn't fun fishing for the LED.

yes, this is very common as the bulb inst always the tightest fit in the socket. This didn't happen to me in the headlight, but did in the taillight and I had to remove the whole damn bumper and taillight to get to it. lol

So what are the advantage of getting these if they fall out of the socket!!!! Any fix to keep them from falling out or just dumb luck.

Well I must be having some sort of luck, they haven't fallen out since, especially hitting a few good size bumps. I was pissed, thought I would have had to take the whole bumper off and I wasn't in the mood for that. Anways, everything works great as of now, love the switchbacks.

Sorry guys, I didnt make myself clear. They fall out when you are handling them and trying to fit them through the hole in the housing because they tend to hit the opening as you insert them into the headlight. Once they are install, they dont fall out. Its mainly an "install-only" issue.
