Went to 1/4 Mile Track...14.2 @99
So yeah last week i ran a 9.2 in the 1/8th with a 2.1 60'
This week i ran a 14.2 @ 99...bout 60 degrees and the humidity was terrible...track was soaking wet with dew..so both 1st and 2nd spun a bit..but I was goin against my buddy's s2000 with bolt ons and he ran a 14.0 @99...so on a day with the track not wet my car will run a 13.9 with a 2.1 60'...
Timeslip
R/T .539
60' 9.311
1/8 79.95
1/4 14.232
Mph 98.51
Not bad for a TL with just and intake and TB spacer...

Probably all the Type-S addons has given the car some incentive to go fast.

Excellent times. Depending upon how much you spun the tires, I suspect with a great launch and hookup, you could shave another 2/10ths off of your time. A 13.9 might be a wish.
But let's be honest. A 14.0 would be a superb time for your TL.

2.1? That's a big improvement. Impressive for a FWD on street tires. 13s are just a set of drag radials away although you're close enough that it would be worth it to keep trying with the setup you have. I remember hitting the strip almost every weekend for a summer trying to get that elusive 11.99 on street tires even though I had a set of slicks in the garage. IMO, it's fun to handicap yourself and really hone your driving skills. I remember my first time down the strip, I was 17 and ran a 16.4@101mph with a 3.9 60' time. It was a nice smoke show lol.

thanks guys..2 tenths in the 60' = about 3-4 tenths in the 1/4 for fact...i launched bout 2500 rpms and it spun some in 1st but the shift to 2nd i had to correct the steering it spun so bad...the lines were so long so i only got to run once..i let the car cool with the electric fans on for about 45 mins before i ran so IATs were low..shortshifter and TB spacer helped too im sure...i will eventually get a 14.0 at the minimum but 13.9 on street tires is my goal..
