damn dude i feel you pain..i got into an accident on feb. 14th and i just got my car back sunday...about 5 months of not seeing my car killed me..insurance companies will try to fuck you over until you bring them to court...i got into an accident with a taxi cab he ran the stop sign and i hit him and i got paid really good made out with $12k thats what i pocketed after i paid $8500 to get my entire front end,dash,airbags,seat belts,etc

the TL like most other unit body cars does not have a full frame, they have a front and rear sub frame. They obviously replaced the rear subframe when it got mangled.

I'm just going to go in and say that I'm not guilty and present my pictures that I have, and also show the judge the picture of intersection of where the accident happen and tell my side of the story. This is my first real accident. I'll be happy whatever the judge says. I just want to get my side of the story heard. I know the judge might not care, but at least I gave it a shot.

I'm with allstate and I have that accident forgiveness plan. I mean all that money that my insurance is paying, I don't know why they just can't total the car out. I know you have to be at a certain amount for them to total it out. first price was going to be 8k and the secound amount was 9k and the third amount is 12k. I'm hopeing that I'll get my car back this week. I didn't know that all the parts for a Acura TL type s is so much money. anyway once I get my ride back, I'll update this page and let ya'll know what happens. I do appreciate all of you and your info that ya'll wrote.

When you go to pick up the car DO NOT sign anything until you give it a good looking over in the sunlight. Check for paint quality, runs, orange peel, overspray, rough spots. Make sure your trunk opens and closes tight like it should. Make sure all your lights work. But most importantly inspect your paint.

Oh trust me I will! everytime I take my car to the dealer to get work done on it, I always check my car before I take it in and after my car is done.

Well the body shop told me yesterday that my car should be ready on Monday or Tuesday. I hope to get it back soon. from what the body shop told me, when the other driver hit me, she knock out my alignment so the body shop is doing the alignment and they were waiting on a new rim. They told me that they are replacing the two front rims which I don't know why. I had to return the loaner car back to enterprise. my insurance company only gave me Thirty days of free car rental. So I had to pay the difference. So I called the acura dealer and talk to someone there and they gave me a free loaner car until I get my car back. the car they gave me to drive is a 2010 tsx. I was hopeing to get a TL but I like driving the tsx. once I get my car back, i'm going to go over the whole car to make sure nothing is wrong with it before I drive off the lot. over all I'm still happy even tho its talking awhile, but hey I want them to do the job right and not rush through it.

Well I finally got my car back today!!! I'm so happy to have it back. feels kind of weird driving my own car again. I'm going to miss driving the tsx. I really enjoyed the car and the usb port for my iphone. I wish that the 3G had that. So my car was in the body shop from 6/17 - 7/30. The body shop did a great job, but when I got my car back. They forgot to add the type s emblem on the trunk and I also notice on the back bumper on the driver side under the tail light, part of the back bumper on the side is sticking out a little, plus there is a little bit of a gap between where the back piece meets the left wheel wall. So I'm going to take it back on wednesday and have them fix it. over all I'm glad to have my car back. I missed it so much!!!!

fwiw, the iphone car charger has a alternate usb port on it that you can use. that's what i do. hth

No, my court date is Aug 26. I even notice on the passanger side, that one of my door sills have a dent in it. I don't know why they were in the passanger side. three things I need them to fix is 1. fix the back bumper 2. have them put the TL emblem and the type s one 3. have them replace the door sills. Question should I have them put the TL and the Type s emblem back on or just have them put the Type S emblem on? just wondering on what some of the type s people did. to me I think it would look better just with the type s emblem by its self.

well my car is back at the body shop for some repairs that they messed up. its in for fixing the door sills, polish the right tail light, and buff out the scratches around the back passanger door and adding the type s emblem. hopefully after I get it back, I won't have any more problems with it.

I got my car back again today. I took it in on wednesday because when I got the car back, the body shop messed up on some stuff. I had them buff out both tail lights, buffed out the swirl makrs around the back passanger side door, and also had them replace the passanger side door sills. So hopefully that is it on my car for now. glad to have it back again. if you ever take your car back to the dealership, make sure to check your car before you leave! Thats what I always do, before I leave. if you find something on your car that wasn't there, than you can tell them that wasn't on there when I brought the car in. when I get a chance, I'll take some pics of my car.
