ahh ok..kinda sux when your mud guards are also a different shade of white but oh well I like the WBP on the TL

White is worst. Some WDP are better than others. I agree though, it sucks.

Yes.....I have the WDP and all the plastic areas are a shade of white different than the metal areas. It's really noticable when your up close........not bad from a distance.

its because our bumpers are painted in a different factory than the rest of our car so i've read. but i still love my wdp

our bumpers are black abs plastic i think?... but yeah.... prepare to get some touch up paint... they're noticeable!!!!

really nice sunny days, cant always tell.... cloudy and overcast, it SHOWS.... im used to it... and yea, almost every color shows it... NBP does hide it well, you cant even tell on the black

it happens on pretty much every wdp..ive had 2, an 04 and now an 08, have the same problem with the back bumper on both, more on the 08 though

it's normal, most of the colors differ on the plastic parts of the car. WDP in particular, i think the pearl in the paint reflects different off those plastic parts. i have a WDP and had the same problem, it bugged me enough to get them repainted now its perfect.

Yup I like my 2 tone wdp paint ha. I have heard it is because of the flex agent but I recently installed the a-spec kit and the white was not off like the bumpers Maybe it will change after it been in the sun for awhile.

As for the rock chip issue I recommend investing in a 3m clear bra kit and advise against DIY.

so whats the result when people complain to acura about this? i doubt they give you a free paint job, but any positive results?

they say thats it normal, its a different paint used or something liek that. i actually was talking to my salesman about it last week. they said it happens on pretty much every wdp. he said that if its not like that when u buy the car, it will eventually turn a differnt color. no tthat big of a deal, its common

I just purchased my 08 TL and had planned to buy the WDP, but when I noticed the color difference in the bumper I just couldn't do it Living in the Pacific Northwest we get cloudy days on a regular basis so I'd see it all the time. I looked at 5 new WDP cars on the lot trying to find one that wasn' t noticable, but no luck. I went with NBP.

WDP has the worst discoloring i have ever seen. the rear bumper is nearly yellow, i couldn't imagine how it will look 6 years later.
