Any one here get the WDP aspec kit and its a brighter white then the car?

My bumpers are off colored as usual but i figured when I ordered the kit that it would match the rest of the body and not the bumpers.

Ill post pics after a wash to see if you think its just me seeing 3 different colors.

 

 

Is this normal, did i get a oem screw up or am i too anal?

There are over 10 variations of every color so to have it match would be very hard, also your car probably faded a little over the years.

I already had 3 co-workers comment on how the color doesnt match without me even saying anything...

If there is 10 color variations then why even offer the kit prepainted? Makes sense to me just sell non painted ones cheaper and pay to get it to match on your own, not pay to have it already painted and have to pay again to get it done right...

Hate to say that yes, it's normal. It seems like Acura can mismatch the bumpers when the car is assembled, then make the color a brighter white with the add on kit. Can't stand any add on kit as they look like they're stuck on the bumpers, which they are. It's just too bad that they don't replace the entire bumpers.

 

In the sun it does blend better, today is overcast so its most noticable. I still like it better with the "add on" kit then without.

If you polish and detail your car, the difference will be less noticeable. New paint will always be off from paint thats atleast 4 years old!

 

Can't do much about the mismatched color on the bumpers as they will never match the WDP A-Spec package. The bumpers from the factory are bad enough, but when a body kit is added at the bottom, it makes it even worse. Now you have the body that matches a package that is installed on the bottom of the bunpers. Bettter off getting the bumpers sprayed.

 

Thing is they all aren't that bad .. mine is hardly noticable.

 

In my opinion, they shouldn't be noticeable at all.

 

I searched on google "wdp tl", turns out most of the wdp cars i saw with aspec kit was all a little brighter compared to the body. I guess thats just normal then...

 

my kit doesn't match the bumpers, but it is near perfect with the rest of the car. I was really bothered by it when it was first installed, but i don't see it as a big deal now.

 

So the Aspec kit is not a replacement for the bumpers but an add-on? Is the front bumper a replacement? Rear bumper?

 

exactly like mine, I'd just put mine on last weekend. I love it except my back bumper is so yellowish, it offset everything else

 

my bumper is a different shade of white as well too. factory mess up i guess
