Washer Fluid warning?
Well, my dealer never filled up my washer fluid upon delivery, so after about 4 good uses it ran out in the middle of a snow/rain crap storm.
The one thing I was concerned about was that it didn't seem like there is a low washer fluid warning as there is on most mid to high-end cars.
Has anyonelse noticed this?

I don't always understand these differences between the Canadian and US versions. Why would Acura go to the trouble to make a small difference like this between the two models? The cost of engineering and manufacturing two different versions of a wiper fluid system wouldn't seem to make it worth doing? Would anyone in either country buy or not buy the TL based on the wiper system?

That is amazing...
The VW Jetta has low washer fuild warning as do a LOT of cars.
This isn't some random *****ing, this is a very useful feature. Knowing you are about to run out in a snow stom can be a big deal instead of tooling along and it runs out in the middle of smearing salt all over your windshield.
This is the one feature that is lacking that really pisses me off. I don't care about convenience items like mechanical tilting wheels. This is a safety concern for people living in colder climates.
The add insult to injury, they have it on Canadian versions, so it isn't like it ends up costing them a lot more to design and integrate it!

rybocf,
TL won't be able to satisfy everyone in US. You insist this one is important to you. And other ppl do point out the different features. If Acura tries to do all, we would have buttons or lights all over the dashborad.
Currently, cars set up the fixed spots to locate some certain buttons or indicators. Maybe in the near future, we will have the cars with all indicators on its LCD screen. Then, it may satisfy more ppl.
Like new Prius, it will have LCD display full of features of maintenance, icons, rear camera, etc...
TL in the north doesn't have XM... will they like to trade their washer fluid warning for your XM? Maybe...

Rets,
In many cases I agree with your argument, but not on this one. I don't think XM is available in Canada, or they made some deal with XM the company to put the equipment in, and XM gives customers a free trial, then probably kicks back some $$ to Acura for any subscribers.
My point is that its either "not available" or a business/marketing decision.
Certain features are simply expected in cars above $25k, and low washer fluid notification is one of them. What bothered me the most is that it IS offered on this car outside the US, so it isn't an engineering hassle to include it here.
What if you got into the TL and it didn't have power locks or powered windows? I probably wouldn't even notice a higher end car's lack of power locks because I would just assume its there.
I'd like to know how many Lexus, Infiniti, BMW, MB, etc. don't have this feature as standard on their cars.
This is the first "non-feature" I've complained about, so it isn't like I go around whining about what this car doesn't have.

Ya, we might get the extra size washer fluid holder, but you guys have to remember that you get other features other than us. We do not get the fog lights or XM radio option. And the windsheild washer fluid signal is not that big a deal anyways.

Its not a big deal until you get caught in a blizzard and it runs out unexpectedly.
I'm just overly pissed because I expected a warning and didn't get one during the 3 feet of snow we got here last week. I guess now I'll just have to get used to checking it regularly instead.

I had a low washer fluid indicator on my last car and the one prior.
in 16 years it never went on.. every service/oil change they are supposed to check fluids that included and top them off, which it seems the correctly do!

Don't you checked that stuff on a regular basis anyway ? Especially if you know a blizzard is coming ? But I agree that the dealer should have top it off before the delivery.
People are whining too much, auto everything is not always a good thing.
I heard this (true) story:
Wife called husband when the car dies. Husband asked the wife
to check the gas, the wife said 'errr'. Apparently she never had to fill up the car because the husband always fill it up for her, except this one time.
