Warranty help

Hey guys I bought my 2004 tl a year ago straight from dealer auction for 11,600 out the door with 111k miles, love the car drives great, lately though I have been thinking of getting a extended warranty for it as I've replaced the ac compressor, water pimp timing belt and now I know the passenger side motor mount is bad, do I figure why not get one so i dont pay full price for that and anything else, I wanted to know what you guys think is a good cheap warranty company, I'm here for your thoughts, thanks

2004 with over 111K??

that warranty is gonna cost an arm and a leg. there is no such thing as a cheap EW esp on an 04 with over 100Kmi (it'll probably cost over $2K for bumper to bumper).

plus if you get one they aren't guaranteeing that they'll cover anything. i've read stories where people pay A LOT of money and end up with one denial after another on claims.

its not worth it. if you're putting that much money into the car....might as well put it towards a newer one.

the other thing is that you aren't fixing seriously MAJOR things with the TL. a lot of the stuff is regualr maintenance (TB, WP). the AC is just bad luck. the motor mounts...well those have been known to go bad.

the TL is a very reliable car. take car of it and it'll take of you.

my brother has an EVO...its his toy...highly modded...05 with only 44Kmi. he has a few other toys in the barn as well.

you could always keep the TL for the DD and get an evo as the toy.

Like TLtrigirl pointed out, those are maintenance items.
wear and tear.
you bought a high mileage vehicle. Please, expect the little things to be replaced.
the motor will run strong and true for quite a while, over 300k...but its the little things that need to be repaired/replaced as time goes on.

I'm not dumb I understand its high mileage and things go out just saying do I feel like spending money more and more our get rid of it luckily I've decided to keep it until its paid off and warranty called me yesterday like 2100 for 5 year 100k more miles and they will fix up to 15k worth in that time so ins go that route since I have 4 years left on it

The car should've had the Timing Belt and Water Pump replaced at 105k, before you bought it. It's a regularly scheduled maint item and it can be a bit pricey.

You never should've had to replace it. Or, if it wasn't replaced, should've been factored into the price.

IOW - I don't think you should count that as unexpected costs. And it would not have been covered by warranty (I dont' think).

i bought it straight from dealer auction, the 105k service hadnt been done, so like i said bought it for 11,600 which for miles and all wasnt a bad price, as ive been to a couple acura dealerships and they admit i got it for s steal compared to what they would have sold it for, and warranty does cover timing belt and water pump and all, motor mounts is excluded but oh well ima price em out and see how hard they are to do, if possible ima do it if not i guess i will just hit up acura
