Warranty/Cold Air Intake Help

I own a 05 TL Auto with no modifications other than cosmetics. I am looking into getting a cold air intake and was just wondering if it would void my warranty in any way and if it would why? Also what brand intake do you suggest to get the best performance out of and how easy is it to install?? Please help me out, especially about if it affects the car warranty since I have an extended warranty and if it's not too much, the ease of installation..

Thanks in Advance

I believe for the cold air you need to remove the front bumper

cold air intake does not affect your warranty status unless they can prove it was the cause of the problem. i recommend the aem v2 and yes your front bumper has to come off

but it's way easier to remove the bumper or at least drop the driver side first go around. It's not getting the intake in,it's getting the stock airbox out that was a bitch.

FYI: I have an injen and just got some warranty work done.....

technically the bumber has to come off....to make it easier....but u dont have to...only to make it harder....also....the AEM intakes are C.A.R.B. compliant so i wouldnt worry about warranty. its within standards ofthe stock intake and it wont void anything unless u drive into a lake and suck up some water.

i have done numerous 3rd gens all without taking the bumper off... it is just a pain to get the resonator out since the bolt is buried pretty high...

but it isn't anything a sawzall can't fix...
