Warped brakes on 04 AT TL

I bought an 04 AT year ago with 26K on it I now have 57K. I get a vibration in the steering wheel column mostly 50+ mphs. I must have warped my rodors, my pads are ok there at like 45%. Should I machine the rotors or should I upgrade to brembros? If upgrade what would be a good setup?

Sounds like unbalanced wheels/tires to me if the vibration occurs without applying the brakes- check that already?

Warped discs would result in shudder or vibration upon braking.

sounds like maybe a bent wheel or two. have you rotated the fronts to the back? if you do and it stops it's probably a bent rim. if it happens when you apply the brakes then yeah most likely it's a warped roter, if so and is hasn't gotten real severe you could have them turned. I warped one of mine once, had it turned, now it's starting to show up again, the next time I have work done on it i'm upgrading my roters.

Yup for all the above. Also should let you know that if you have warped rotors, resurfacing rotors will increase brake temperature and stopping distance, primarily because "shaving" the rotor will result in less heat dissipation. it's always a good idea to replace rotors instead of resurfacing them. The reason resurfacing is an option is strictly for cost savings.

Furthermore, rotors have minimum thickness specifications, and a warped rotor may fall below these specs after resurfacing (depending on how badly they are warped).

Since you've already replaced brakes once, and chances are your rotors were resurfaced at that time, I'd recommend you replace the rotors. They could have warped from excessive heat as it is. That is certainly a possibility.

Sorry guys that was my bad .. It only does it when I brake at 45+ or so. I want to replace them but I'm not sure what I should go with. Any suggestions?
