The dealearship put the paper plates on but its bugging me sooo i need some help around getting the plugs for a black 06 tl...any help would be great!

Simple... Go back to your Dealer and demand for plugs... they should have them available.

Didn't work for me. They demanded $18 at my dealer for the plugs in response to my demand. When I suggested they took my plugs to begin with, they told me that was the law becuase a front license plate was required. When I suggested it might be the law to mount a plate it's not law to throw away my plugs, they simply said it will be $18 for new plugs.

you paid for those plugs when you bought the car....if they dont return them then return the car

WANTED! front license plate plugs for 06 Black Tl.....Dude @ the delear put the paper plates on the front and its really buggin me..They said they tossed the caps and that they are 13.99$ each if i want to order them?? Any suggestions? Any sites that sell them others that have some that would like to give/sell??

yeah, them with tax it like 30+... that s what i had to pay. but i heard people on this site say they got them for free at the dealer...

Ask them to give you the set that they take off the next black TL that they sell. That's what I did. Good luck.

They took them off...they should give you replacements for free. that's ridiculous! I made the dealer remove that stupid tag before leaving the lot and put the plugs back.

That's not your problem, you bought the car with them (you paid for them) so make them order you replacements.

I can not tell you how mad, angry, pissed I would be if my dealer told me that "it was the law" Jeez-- if your state requires a front plate, the dealer should have a barrell full of those plugs laying around.

I used to live in Texas, which requires a front plate-- I drove my Lexus for 4 years without one-- and NO one ever said a word about it (even when stopped for speeding a couple of times...) My very attractive admin assistand bought a Corvette and was stopped several times in the first month or two for no front plate -- go figure.

In NYS its illegal to have no front plate...when i bought the car i requested that the plat not be put on but they put it on anyways...before i signed any papers I made them take it off and put the plugs in...they had no problem with that...they even gave me a free bottle of touch up paint

Amen! The dealer should either give you some spare black ones laying around, give you the next ones off of a black TL, or order you new ones for free.

Where I live, in CA, they require the front license plate, but after having the car for a month I went and got the plugs for "free". The service deparment said they had a whole bunch of them in the back. Ask to see the trash can thats where they all are.

I didn't know about the plate plugs either. About a year later when wife's car was in for and oil change - I just asked for the plugs from the service guy - no questions - he just went in the back and came back w/ 2 @ no charge.

Why don't u try this: nxt time u bring the car for service if not the original dealer bring the car to another - and just ask the service guy - can't hurt

Front plates are required in CA also. Luckily my dealer threw the plugs into the center console. Have you checked all the compartments for them?

I check all the compartmets they are not in site...........I took off the front plate today and the plug holes are small soooo i will try to scam some sooner than later from the delearship....fuck a front plate!

I too forgot to ask for the plugs when I took my car home but I didn't have much of a hassle getting a set from my dealer. It took a good 20 mins for the guy to locate a set, poor guy went through all the manila envelopes (where all the car manuals are placed). But in the end I got a free set from my dealer. Just try your luck at another dealership if yours is being difficult about the situation.

Contact Acura and tell them about this dealor. What he is doing is price gouging and I'm sure Acura would be upset to find out about it. You might try holding this over the dealor's head. They have piles of those plugs in the back doing nothing.

Jeff Scala (my salesman) at DCH Montclair Acura sent my plugs to me FedEx overnight no questions asked. Any good dealer should.

Called today and sweet talked the girl on the phone in the service dept toooo track some down for me she called 4 hours later and i went and picked them up for free!!!! Damn im glad the front plate just dont look rite! Thanx for the help im going to post some pics of my ride pre tint and after soon.....
