im interested in a demon eyes DIY since I got some time of in the next few weeks. A found a few threads about what they are and how they look but nothing on how to do them.

all I know is LEDs are involved. Have many people done this mod or just a few? Is there a DIY out there?

 

you just have to mount LEDs into the projector. Most people do this in the area behind the projector lens. With the TL projector, you may have to drill a hole to run the wires through. How the LEDs angle matters too

 

You'd have to drill behind the lens. I'm pretty sure most of the "pros" mount the LED on the top. This is not for the faint of heart. Taking the lights that far apart is not the easiest thing to do. So unless you've dabbled into this stuff before I would recommend paying a pro. There are several vendors here that do good work.

 

does it require baking it and separating the lights? or just drilling and electrical work?

this is a start.

 

ok so from what i got from that scion post was that the LED bulb needs to be drilled into the bottom of the housing facing up. it said "under the cut off shield" im assuming the cut off shield hands down from the top of the projector housing.

 

also i came across this for those interested in demon eyes. its an RBG color changing kit that claims to be plug and play, fitting most OEM and aftermarket projecters. it works by remote. has anyone got this on our forums? its called Morimoto XC demon eye kit

I personally like to go from the bottom because when the lights are on, heat will rise and the top half will be hotter than the bottom half
