Want to buy a TL
Im looking into trading my car in for a 04 TL.
I have read many of the threads on here in regards to prices and they have been very helpful.
What is the invoice price on a 04/automatic/with Navigation?
without Navigation?
Thanks for any help.

$29,755 vs $31.575
No one could get it, except you're in their payroll or you hit their promotion lottery. However, you might get close-to-invoice with Non-Navi model... Remember, get the newer VIN TL. If you get demo or high-mileage-testdrive car, you could get more discount.

Dealers will try their best to sell cars from their stock. If cutomers are smart, dealers have to settle down more discount in order to sell those "old" car. If dealers can fool with customers, ppl will pay the same amount of money and get the "old" car.
I guess now the newest Vin should be around 18xxx-22xxx.
Try to test-drive your new car with your salesman prior to pick it up, this is to make sure your new car without vibration issue. Otherwise, if you sign the paper and drive away your new TL, you have to only settle down the waiting list to fix your car when unfortunately you have vibration issue.

My VIN is 14467 and was built in November. No problems with the dreaded vibration issue. I also got the HPT's so that may have helped alleviate that issue. So look for a build date in Dec or later with VIN higher than 15xxx and you should be OK.

The low vin number problem comments aren't true for everyone. I have a <500 vin number and have had no vibration issues or any other problems for that matter. The only minor issue was a loose bolt in the dashboard that was fixed the week I bought the car.

We didn't say it's true for all the ppl. And, I use "might" instead of affirmatively auxiliary word. I have to say sorry if my statement makes any early built TL owners feel bad.
Mine is around 2xxx, and I merely have Seat Memory issue after the dealer updated my ECU software to correct the MIL issue. I have to believe lots of ppl have no issues at all.
However, the 04TLs with newer VIN apparently have better chance to get less issues rather than those with older VIN. At least, MIL issue will not be the matter for the new VIN TL, and the new owner won't be running back and forth to check this problem.
BTW, since the vibration is varied, new or old ones would have it. That's why I added "if possible, new owners should test-drive their new car with the salesman in case the vibration is on the scene.
