I've removed my center grill numerous times and have never taken off the bumper to do it. You can pry the top part back far enough to get at the 5 screws (4 visible...1 in the middle is a little deeper) holding it on. Use a short philips or a drill with a flexible 10" attachment to get in there. Easy...you'll have it off in 5 minutes.

Nice work! I might try this instead of repainting if the center bar turns out right.

Hey. I have tint and vinyl. I sell carbon fiber vinyl and have a thread. I also have vinyl in any size, black, white, grey/silver, blue etc.

I just wanted to add my information here. I did this to my TL last weekend using matte black vinyl from stickercity.com. It was a piece of cake, for the most part. I screwed up on the bottom part because I didn't leave enough to wrap around the top. When I did it the first time and re-installed it, I could still see the chrome part. Thankfully I had enough leftover in my roll to redo it. I had to splice two pieces together, but it works for now. I'm going to buy another roll soon and redo it. It was such a great mod for $25, well, gonna end up being $50 since I have to order another one.
