Vinyl Roof removal experience/issues

Hello everyone thanks for chiming in please feel free to state any experience or opinion on what yall think about removing the vinyl; i know most are rated for 5 years and i plan on removing/replacing in around 2 but will there be any kind of residue/glue i will have to worry about after removal?... i know quite a few people have this mod done but just not too sure many haved removed it yet... pleas help so i can order ASAP!!! And as always Thanks in advance...

when you peel it back, more than likely there will be some adhesive left. Take some bug and tar remover and it'll come right off!

All you gotta do is use a steamer and heat it, all the adhesive will come off as long as u pull it slowly. I removed my 3M-di noc with no problems and didnt rip off any original paint. If you do end up getting some stubborn glue, just purchase some adhesive remover and it will be gone.

as said, vinyl should come off with no damage to paint underneath (as long as it is in good condition to start with), just might be a bit of a slow process though at getting all the residue off though

biggestissue to think about though, is will the paint underneath match the faded paint around it, there ways around that some though
