There's now a clear plasti-dip coat. On top of paint it gives that frosted look to your current paint. It's good if you like your current color and want to change it just a bit or don't want to change it entirely.
Sprayed on top of plasti-dip it will give the plastidip a satin-like finish.
If you're going to go the plasti-dip route, don't do it with rattle cans. Cans are good for small spots or touch ups. For big areas you want to use a real gun.
Vinyl is very nice and has a great sheen to it, but keep in mind that it's held on with an adhesive. Therefore, the longer it stays on the more "baked" the adhesive will become making it harder to come off later on, possibly damaging paint or clear.

Plasti Dip is quick cheap n Easy vinyl is longer lasting and a little better looking...I'm glad I didn't find out about plasti dip sooner because I would have sprayed everything by now lol...

What i did was take off each wheel individually, and clean every nook and cranny with soapy water.
Afterwards I rotated the wheel while applying plasti-dip. About 6 coats on each wheel.
Lastly I followed it up with clear coat gloss. The result was great.
I've received a number of compliments on my rims and even people asking me if they were OEM.

Had to do a double take cause i thought i was the only one with a black spoiler in Vancouver
Personally i plastidipped for cost effectiveness and ease of removal.

One would have to have wax in their eyeballs to not make the distinction between dry matte black and glossed black.

Go plasti dip if you are on a tight budget but vinyl obviously will last longer and it is easier to clean. Plasti-dip holds brake dust and other dirt way more that vinyl wrap would.
I have black plasti dip on my wheels and they are hard to keep clean. I even have ceramic brake pads, which creates less brake dust than regular pads. Overall plasti is cheap and more convenient to do, at least in my opinion.
Good luck with your decision!

Clarify if you can, what you mean. Because you can clearly see the car displayed with the rims, within a full picture. Rims that are obviously painted and obviously glossed. There are people who exist who do like to see what finished products look like on their cars.
