VIN and Production Date
This has been addressed before:
http://www.acura-tl.com/forums/showt...threadid=67654
That thread probably has the most useful info, such as how to decipher a VIN number, how to calculate the checksum digit (a lot of work, but I tried mine just for kicks, and it matched - phew!),
and even a link to a site that interprets VINS, although it didn't recognize the model code for the TL.
The build date isn't in the VIN, but you can find it inside the drivers' side door, towards the bottom.

I could have taken another TL two weeks ago. It was built 2/5.
I chose to wait hopefully for the better tires, memory seat fix,
and latest software for the navi.
Thanks to this forum, I got a great price for the additional warranty. Thanks folks!!
I have yet to see a TL on the road in the southeastern Michigan area. Course soon as I take delivery I'm sure I'll see a bunch but
that's ok.

Question on build date....
I only see month and year on sticker. Do they have the DAY it was built?
I am also curious about that date. It says 12/03 and I picked up my car on 12/13/03:wow:
That is fast delivery!
