Vibrating/Rattling

Had my 2005 TL for 3 days now...SUPER HAPPY, but there is a constant slight...but enough to be annoying...vibrating rattling sound when I am driving at any speed that seems to be coming from around the center of the dashboard. Can't pinpoint at all where it is coming from exactly. Not from the compartment doors or anything I have in them or the glovebox. Anyone have an idea or experience this? Thanks a bunch!

Welcome to the club. You'll find rattles almost anywhere in the TL. Tweeter, "A" pillar, glove box, door panels, window frame, etc...

Too many individual parts are jimmied into the dash assembly. Most of them plastic. It's a hot/cold-expand/contract thing. Good luck.

Could it be the center speaker? If that's the case, it is really easy to fix (5 min). Check out the 3G Garage!

Good luck!

Thumbs up solutions to vibrating noise

I also have a slight vibrating/buzzing sound when the engine is at 1500rpm coming from the center console. The cause is the compartment door, under the radio. It seems impossible to lubricate, so here are my two solutions. If it is open, no buzzing. If you put tissues in it and close the door, no buzzing. I'm waiting for it to get a little older and maybe it will just stop, although it really isn't too bad.
