Yea so i just got my registration in the mail but somehow my new plates didnt come in the mail, im lost as to what to do i gues i gotta call up dmv on monday, should i also call the dealer?

 

^^ I'd say call the dealer first and then to DMV.. This actualyl happened to me, except the other way around. Plates came, stickers didn't and got a fix-it ticket ftl....

 

the dealer usually gets the plates and you go in to have them put them on for you. like AcuraTLboi said...call the dealer first

 

where does that happen? my parents just got an 07 odessey and they just got their plates and registration in the mail 2 weeks ago...

 

^^^ Happens in IL.....did it for three of our cars....for the TL, dealer had plates when we bought the car.

exactly...unless of course you keep the plates from the previous car

 

You don't get your plates from the dealership in all states. i.e. In Cali the dealership registers your car, then the DMV sends you the plate.

In NV you have a month to get the car registered.

What state are you in?

 

did you trade in a car? if so you may just need to transfer your old plates. if not call the dealership

 

yea i called the dealership and they are going to call me on monday when the business offices are open, and im in cali.

 

so i called the dearlership today and they told me i should go get the plates and send them the bill... this makes me extremely angry.

they have fucked up my whole transaction from day 1, 1st with cashing my check, and now this WTF? what should i do? i never even got a survey on how to rate them...

 

Just rate them on the survey honestly.

My plates and reg sticker came 2.5 months after I bought my car. Apparently DMW sent it to the dealer and the dealership sent it to me. I'm in CA by the way.

 

but i havent recieved a survey to fill out yet, and its been 3 months since i purchased the car.

 

They called me over the phone to do the survey.

 

how long after you bought the car? did u get the survey call? im in CA too, easy bay

 

what should i do guys? they are being extremely difficult... they want me to go to the DMV when its their job to take care of this, im pretty angry but i dunno what to do, i've spoken to the salesman and the person in charge of handling the registration at the dealer... what do you guys suggest i do now if they still dont wanna do this? i work full time and cant afford to take time off work to go down to the DMV..

 

Call Acura Concierge Service and Acura Customer Care to see if they can help. Otherwise, if you are an auto club (AAA- CSAA in NoCal??) member, drop by one of its locations on a Saturday with your paperwork. G/L.
And remember to hammer the dealership when the survey comes 2 or 3 months after purchase, for my cars.
