VANCOUVER- Help with deck lip spoiler

as for some reason, i came home one night and found this 2 dents on the top edge of my trunk..and i do know that, getting it repaired will cost me around 300$CAD
so i was thinking that i might as well get a deck lip spoiler to cover it up
i went to my dealer..and they cost like #@*#%&@, 650$CAD just for the lip
and i heard people from this web-site got it real real real cheap
so i was asking..
is there any places i can get it cheap in vancouver/lower mainland?
(i really don't want to consider shipping, since i'm 17 with no visa)

Angry Canadians get ripped when buying a TL or parts

Most inexpensive parts come from US dealers. The exchange rates have dropped recently so we have more buying power on US goods. Canadian dealers likely have stock bought at higher exchange rates and price accordingly. The list price on the TL is a good example where it is cheaper to buy a TL in the States even after exchange.

What I'd do is get in on a group buy and use Paypal to pay them. Most places take money orders available at banks or post offices so you don't need a credit card. Also I think Paypal can access money directly from a bank account. Worth a try.

You might want to ask your bank to set you up with a student visa which has a 500$ limit. Using the shipping you can save money but make sure you watch the exchange rates before you buy US$.

Off topic but I thought this was interesting: I checked the prices of the TL in Can and US with todays exchange rates.

Base TL MSRP
$42,000 CA$
$33,325 US$
todays exchange = 1.138
The US car can be yours for $37,917.19 CA$
That's 4082.81 worth of savings and that not even a NAVi

NAVi 6sp Dynamic MSRP
$45,800 CA$
$35,525 US$
$40,420 CA after conversion at 1.1378
Save 5000$
Man we pay stupid money compared to US buyers.

The ebay decklid spoilers are great and cheap. They come painted to match the car as well. I would recommend doing a search for it.

Werd. All dealers - at least in Canada - are gonna bend you over big time for stuff like that. I went through the same thing with my dealer on the lip spoiler and body sided mouldings. I decided not to go with the BSM"s but after MUCH research I'm about to order the lip spoiler from Trimking on e-bay. I'm not advising you to go with this vendor but after my research on product, price, and service I choose them.

My advice to you is find someone with a credit card and/or paypal and go the ebay route otherwise you're going to get ripped off big time from the dealer. Best of luck with your search and enjoy the TL .
