Valve stem caps missing
So I go to rotate my tires yesterday on my TL-S and 2 of the valve stem caps are missing. This is the first time it has happed to my Acura but they are gone every few weeks from my wifes civic.
I was wondering where I can find the gray colored caps that come on the TL-S? I don't want to put the black caps on.
Thanks

I had one of the caps missing and went to the dealer for a replacement. The parts guy pointed out a small circular recess in the top of the cap that he said was to make room for the valve's center piston. The parts guy told me that the aftermarket valve caps don't have this recess and will slightly depress the piston and cause a slow leak.
I haven't looked at one of the aftermarket caps so I can't vouch for what I was told but for $0.70 I got the grey cap I was looking for.
Just thought I would pass this on.

The only time I have problems with missing valve stem caps is taking my cars to Discount Tire for a rotation or new tires. The first time I took my Wife's Pilot for a rotation only half the caps (on the drivers side) were installed with no caps on the other tires. I never thought I would need to check and thought it was a fluke. The next time I took the Pilot in for new tires- ALL the caps were missing! I guess that is the cost of a 'free' tire rotation?
I have now changed tactics and remove all my caps before going to Discount Tire and replace the caps afterward. I imagine the Discount in our area has quite a cap collection growing.
