Valeo Wipers Anyone?

After going through a week of rain in New York, I realized that I'm extremely unhappy with my PIAA super silicone wipers. The chatter, skipping and the noise are a pain especially stuck in traffic. So my question to all the 3G TL'ers is....Has anyone dropped the money to buy the Valeo Ultimate Wiper Blades? If so, how do they compare with the OEM's and the PIAA silicone blades? Moreover, how do they look on the car? And by any chance does anyone have pics of the Valeo's on their 3G TL?

Thanks

Rambo

No way!! OEM only

That way it's only a couple of bucks to replace the inserts!

Don't worry about the $$$$

By the way.......money is not really a problem for me. I don't mind dishing out the $$$ if its worth it. It's about quality for me!

Try treating the windshield (other windows, too, if you feel like it) with Rain-X. Wipes don't work as well, or last as long, as the liquid wax, but it'll definitely help a lot.

If I'm driving over 50~mph in the rain, I don't even have to use the wipers.

If you're lazy, you could just use the Pink Rain-X windshield fluid.

That's fine, however, OEM work perfect.

I'm pretty sure they're on properly. If I'm facing the car in the front I can read the PIAA on the wipers. Is that correct, or should the PIAA be upside down?

I have PIAAs on both my cars with no problem, I also use Rain-x, love the wipers!

I bought my PIAAs recently but have not installed it. I wipe my wipers regularly while washing my car and have not felt a need to change it yet. Have you applied anything on your windshield? RainX sometimes make wipers skip.

Just make sure your windshield is really clean. Use a decent windshield polish first then apply the Rain-X. A long ride behind a car/truck spewing oil or God knows what onto your windshield may not be visible, but can affect your wiper performance.

a friend just put a set (Valeo) on his
passat. he's very happy w/ them. he's not one to toss $35. away, and would have sent them back if they weren't "the best damn wipers in the world".

i've been using Piaa's for 6+ weeks w/ satisfactory results. i did not use the silicone package that came w/ them. i typically clean my windshield and rain-x every 3-4 weeks.

i think i'll be going back to replacing the oe inserts. they're just so cheap ...

i'm curious to see if the piaa wiper frames pack up w/ slush in snowy weather.

i switched valeo's for PIAA
valeo's weren't wiping anything for me
looked to me like they are a good alternative for regulal winter wipers
but over all not the best wipers out there
PIAAs are great so far ... spring, summer and now fall

I have to agree. When I installed my PIAA's I cleaned thoroughly cleaned the windshield and then applied the PIAA windshield treatment as directed and to date (3 months) haven't had any problems. They still wipe cleanly and quietly.
