v600 ATT, BlueTooth out March 29th.
Fact: v600 will be out tomorrow at your ATT stores. I believe price will be 299 which includes 50 rebate from Motorola. HOWEVER, what i'm going to do is get a reburbished Sony Ericsson, T616, for free, with a one year commitment. Per Phonescoop.com, there is a ton of new BT phones coming out this summer, I'll let them work out all the bugs and pick up another phone in a year. I believe all these phones have way more functionality then most people need/will ever use. My personal big hot button is the HFL BT in my car. If I want to take a great picture, I'll use my Camera!!!

As for the Motorola V600, its already been out for a bit. $299 is an awesome price. Sony Ericsson and Motorola will be big hits this year. Siemens is always the underdog but they have some cool stuff coming.
lovepo9e: When a phone is released to providers its usually all at once per corporate direction. More than likely, there is probably a 7 day window for each store to get everything setup.
My vote goes to Sony Ericsson this year to snag the market share from Nokia. Unfortunately, I don't see too many entry level phones with Sony Ericsson being that most of their lineup consists of power packed handsets with features like bluetooth, pda functions, etc.

when will cingular get v600?
i am with at&t now and where i live they haven't built out the gsm network as well as cingular. Because there aren't enought repeaters near my home i can't rely on my cell phone. i have a seimens s46, piece of crap. we just bought all new seimens monitors where i work doing anesthesia and everyone hates them. Also I noted cingular has some better valued calling plans than i pay now. The moto web site list cingular as one of the sellers of the v600. has anyone heard any info in regard to cingular?http://www.acura-tl.com/forums/newre...te=1&p=735760#

Cingular has the V400 but I have not heard anything from talking to the Cingular reps in-store. The Cheapest plans with solid 1900mhz coverage is definitely T-Mobile. I'm sure their service will get more coverage over the years. I've been with them for 3.5years and so far they've been great.

You can't buy a V600 from AT&T and use in on the Cingular network. The phone is locked to AT&T. After they merge you will be able to use an AT&T phone on Cingular.
What I suggest you do is buy an unlocked V600. You will be able to use that phone on any GSM newtwork.

Anyone know when Verizon will have BT phones? I sent them an email last week & the response was " R & D is looking into it". Wow, big help from the biggest carrier...

Nope.... I have to wait and see my bill. I belive it was $249 plus tax with a 2 year contract. I don't think the price has been set with ATT. They give you 30 days to get a better deal and they will match it. I just wanted the phone now. The phone just came out, I don't think they will offer any special deals the first couple of weeks.

I called AT&T today and they said it would be about a week and a half before they get the V600 in. They would not hold one until they get the "sevice pack" and stock on hand.
Why do the sales people at the AT&T stores act like you're really an annoyance when you call to buy a product? Biz must be good. Too good.
Have we heard of any problems with the Motorola V600 yet or aren't there any that have come online? Hopefully, they wont have the crackling of the SE T616 but will have the MID display for battery status and signal strength that the Nokias don't have.

I'd really like some feedback on ATT Wireless in teh Twin Cities. There is nothing on the net. Also, I looked up Verizon Wireless reviews on the net and people complain as much about Verizon as they do ATT. I just can't win. :bigun2:

I had AT&T for years, but I finally gave up on them in January (problems with customer service -- or the lack thereof). The service was pretty good in Northern NJ and NY City area (and even upstate between NYC and Buffalo). It isn't anything like as good as Verizon, though. Verizon even has service in the Pennsylvania station tunnels! In any event, I don't think you will find the AT&T service area noticeably worse than AT&T (though there are local areas where one is better than the other -- my house being one of them).
