No problem dude! I have to return my "DRL Conversion Kit" and get the same bulbs that you just got. I'm going to look at the schematic of the car and see if there's a more clever way to get full output without a $50 relay harness.
Let us know how it turns out!

Making your own harness is simple, really.
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/diy-make-relay-harness-your-07-08-drls-887865/

I have the iJDMToy harness and it's exactly the same.

Looks like a piece of cake. I fabbed something far more complicated for controlling the 3 security sensors I installed (which I'll eventually create a thread about lol).
Thanks dude!

The harness Vleds sold me looks nothing like the one in that link. I guess I need to contact them again and try to put this puzzle back together.Originally Posted by Vlad_Type_S

That's because the harness your looking at in that post is from 2 years ago. Since than Vleds has partnered up with The Retrofit Source and now Vleds actually sells morimoto hid kits and morimoto relay harnesses. Originally Posted by zoostation

You'll know it's a morimoto relay harness because they have 2 relays instead of your typical 1 relay.
it's a higher quality relay than the one you see in that post from 2 years ago

NEED HELP FOLKS. Tried everything with no luck. Unfortunately VLED's office is closed during the weekends...

The picture above goes from DRIVER SIDE TO PASSENGER SIDE (LEFT TO RIGHT)
Used this link as reference for the install: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=853543
Bought this kit: http://www.vleds.com/vehicle-specifi...l-harness.html + this harness: http://www.vleds.com/bulb-type/dayti...g2-3000lm.html
From the look of things this is how I see everything coming together.
1) Its either im doing something wrong/ not set up properly
2) The harness itself is missing another "harness socket" for the passengers side
3) The LED's are already toast. I pointing this out as I tried connecting just the LED bulb + its ballast to the OEM socket and even that did not light up ( yes I have tried reversing its polarity on both the driver and passenger side).
Since everything didn't go according to plan I put the original bulbs in and even they no longer seem to work. I now have a drl light on the dash, and it says that my tmps is faulty? Ive checked both the Harness's fuse + in cabin DRL fuse and that is still fine. Anyone have better luck? Better DIY specifically to VLED and our 3g's DRL?

Nvm in my haste yesterday i didn't realize that there were online instructions off of VLED's website located here : http://www.vleds.com/vehicle-specifi...l-harness.html
Follow them DIRECTLY (as I should have in the beginning) and they'll work 100%. Since i mounted the driver side LED ballast and resistor to the frame do I need that plastic shrouding covering the plastic tube near the driver side headlight. Its basically the whole plastic assembly in between the battery and the driver side headlight. Ill take pictures of it just in case I'm not making sense.
Off topic my tpms sensors reset themselves. No drl lights on the dash either

Found a link: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/diy-installation-daytime-running-lights%2A%2A-detailed-pictures%2A%2A-3g-garage-g-067-a-596398/
Im referring to pictures #5 & 6. I no longer have this cover or plastic tube. Will this harm the vehicle in any way?

Three Wheelin'
On the current ( $50 ) drl harness from Vleds. When connecting the output from the driver side resistor harness to the HD relay harness, what is the correct way to do it? Mine have blue and RED color wires.
Thanks
Thanks

I've been eyeing this mod for a while. Last night I finally got to actually do it. I used the Acura/Honda harness on the VLEDS website, as well as their 850 lumen 10-LED bulb. The whole process wasn't as bad as I thought... the hairiest part was just where to put all the cable and where to mount the resistors... the latter of which I haven't figured out yet. But I just followed the wiring diagram on the harness product page and everything worked fine.

Yeah that is the one I was looking at. When I added it to my cart it said The item is currently unavailable and it will be backordered.
Can I just use the Retrofitsource's Relay and Ijdmtoy's Plug n play error free decoder wiring kit on my '08 Type S? Heres the links Low Beam: 9005/HB3 - Relay Harnesses from The Retrofit Source Inc

"plug and play" decoder is so misleading because it makes it something more special than it really is.
I believe it's just a set of load resistors with 9005 female and male ends that VLED sells you with TRS' relay harness. nothing really special.

Yeah the decoders are nothing more than in line resistors that tricks the computer so you won't get a orange DRL error light.
The harness is actually what supplies full battery voltage to the LEDS to fully illuminate them.
