used tl or new accord?
Hey guys I am shopping for a new car and I can get a brand new accord ex v6 for 23K or I also found a used 2005 tl with navi for 23500obo with 63K miles on it. What would you guys do and should I be worried about a tl with 63K miles on it?

you will get a better unbiased response in the car talk section.

To give you some sort of answer without saying, "BUY THE TL!!!"....
You need to consider many factors, such as...how many miles do you drive per year, how long do you plan to keep the car, how do you feel about spending $23k and having no warranty, etc.
Personally, I LOVE the TL (as I can guarantee everyone else on this forum would say). I would go with the TL, but that's me. Although, I would definitely look around more, I think you can find a different TL in a similar price range with A LOT less mileage. You might have to go to a 2004, but that's still a 3rd gen. Also, if you don't really need NAV, you'll save there too....

well OP, it all depends on how much money you want to spend, if you're ok with used vs new and/or what needs you have with the car.
Remember with the Used TL, the depreciation factor of "driving it off the lot" is already there...just my .02
but I love my TL
I don't think you'll get good answers here, just too many ppl who love their TLs but lots of ppl also respect accords
2great cars!
good luck

well the blue book value for the tl is 20500 so I am thinking about offering that if I like the car. Decision decisions. It really is a tough one. Love the looks of the TL. Yet the Accord is still a really good car for the price.

I just was in the same boat as you, ended up with an 05 TL w/ navi and 47000 miles for 22700. The car was pristinely cared for.
I almost bought the Accord or a new Altima but after driving the TL the decision was made for me. In my honest opinion the TL is worth every penny even though it is used. The Accord is louder, slower and smaller with less fun things going for it.
If you can get any evidence of service records the TL would easily be the #1 choice.

I'd also go for the Accord. New vs used and they are somewhat similar goodness. Be aware that it will be a model change for 08. Wait a minute and get a better price when the 2008 hits the showroom.
