Used AEM cold air intake?

Ive been looking for a AEM CAI for my 05 TL, but dont really want to spend almost $300 for one. I found one on craigslist that is used with about 10,00 miles on it and the cone is 2 months old for $100.

Is it a bad idea to purchase a used CAI, even if it looks to be in great condition?

I don't think so - CAIs are actually really simple devices, basically a metal tube with a filter at the end which you can wash. So unless there's some stress marks or cracks or something physically wrong with the tube, I doubt it's a bad thing.
