Upkeep of parchment interior

I am in the final stages of negotiating for my new TL. I have test driven it multiple times and I love it. The performance, voice recognition NAV and BT HFL combine to be a unique and impressive package.

I am favoring a DM/Parchment combination.

Is anyone having trouble keeping the parchment interior clean? I am not one to spend hours maintaining a car so low maintenance is important.

The parchment interior especially on the floor by the doors gets dirty really fast. I have already replaced the parchment carpetted floors mats with ebony ones. I clean the inside every time I wash the car.

I have the worse of both worlds. Black exterior, parchment interior. They both look great when clean, but keeping them that way can be a problem. You just have to keep at it.

To make it easier, after washing the car, i take the damp towel and wipe any scuff marks made from getting in and out of the car

I had a parchment interior in my 2000 TL that I traded in for the 2004 TL. I liked the colour alot and found there is a bit of work to keep it clean, however, other than keeping the leather seats cleaned, I found it to be no more work than the ebony interior of my current car. Dirt shows up just as much on black as it did in the parchment. Granted, the old parchment was is bit darker than the current parchment. I found that I had to clean the leather seats regularily because the black colour from my jeans or leather jacket would rub off into the leather seats. With the ebony leather you obviously can't see that effect.

What product(s) work well for removing scuff marks and dye tranfers from other leathers?

I have the Zaino products but don't think they're superior to any of the others for interior maintenance.

I keep a couple of towels under the seats and wipe up after the kids dirty shoes- especially after a snow fall with the ice melt products- scuff up a few things. Aesthetically I just like the parchment look best. The winter mats do a good job protecting the most "trafficed" area.

My wife's mini-van has a tan interior and it's a freaging nightmare dirt-wise. We would NEVER EVER buy anything with light interior again!

I have the DM/Parchment combination and I don't have any trouble keeping the interior clean. I have the winter mats which I will keep in all year. Since the carpets would be the part that gets dirty it has taken that out of the equation. I have never had any problem keeping leather clean in many cars and colour combos. Compared to my previous black car I can't believe how easy it is to care for.

The camel floormats are almost as bad as the parchment. I'm thinking about replacing them with ebony.

Anybody have a source for good discount floormats?

I also have the Desert Mist/Parchment color combination and I have to say that you will probably need to clean the interior every two months to keep it looking like new. As for the exterior color, Desert Mist literally hides dirt...=)

That's one reason I ordered DM!

Aside from the always-mentioned Zaino, has anyone here tried a light leather cleaning product that they think was aweome?
