Upgrade or Downgrade ?

I have a Black on Black 2007 Acura TL with 59,000 and no navi

Should i trade it in for an 05,06 with navi ?

Is this an Upgrade or Downgrade?

Get an aftermarket stereo that has nav! End of story, then you just upgrade your current car!

I dnt think its worth trading cars jsut for nav.. If your car is running fine, I would just get an aftermarket nav

Check out the DIY for non-Navi to Navi conversions or just buy a Garmin and be happy with it. I like my navi but it's definitely not worth trading your car over.

like everyone else said, if you really want a navi that bad, just DIY or find a shop

plus i like the 07-08 models better. tail lights, front fogs, mirror turn signals, interior cluster looks way better than the 04-06 in my opinion. also has led footwell lighting, small but a nice touch.

Simply put....no. If you wanted a car with Navi, remember next time to not buy a car without Navi already installed....problem eventually solved. But to trade a car for that....dumb dumb dumb.

Trade the '07 in for an older model for just a Navi? No way!

Like all others have said...just upgrade to a Navi in your own car. There are tons of aftermarket options, most of which are better than are Navi and have higher resolutions screens anyways!!

It's a down grade. I love my navi and would never buy another car without it... but I wouldn't downgrade from an 07 for it.

Now thats a little rich. Are they going to fly to Indy to do it for me? Time is money....me going to them would likely blow ANY "good deal" out the window. (if you catch what I am saying)

I definitely wouldn't settle for less. 07+ TLs play mp3's and there is an AUX in jack in the center console (made my dvd install easier). These are only a couple amenities you will be losing in an 06. I'd invest in a garmin or something similar. The best part is they are portable and have updated maps. My 07 nav is waaaay out of date with the local construction that has happened the past 18 months where I am at.

I understand where you're coming from. I'd never get a TL without a nav and if for some reason I had one I'd probably want to trade for one too. Just not down a year. Before '07 the nav system was pretty good but doesn't really compare to the nav in the 07 08s. No backup cam, graphics aren't as good, no Navtraffic, radio controls through the nav aren't as good, no auxiliary port. And aside from that the steering wheel isn't as nice, the gauges don't look nearly as good, no flip key, plus the exterior updates of the 07s that make them look a lot better. I wouldn't trade down a year just for nav, but I probably would if it were an '07 or '08

it would be the best to just install nav into ur car if ur ready to DIY, i think moving from a base 07 without nav to an 06 with nav wouldnt be a downgrade if u got the 06 in 6spd

I wouldnt absolutely NEVER go from an 07/08 down to an 04/06 model. Not saying they are bad cars but the additions and upgrades of the 07+ cars is a big deal! If you do it you will be kicking yourself in the ass everyday afterwards. Yes it would be a downgrade even if the older one had nav. Like others have said either just live with it without nav, or consider adding it if its that important to you. Dont go the aftermarket way it would look goofy in a TL. OEM or none.

I'd say that is a definite mistake. You'll end up paying $$$$ to get the different car w/ navi. And especially now that navi is out of date technology wise. Get it in your next car; that's newer.
