Update on Tires
I've been driving around on my new Pilot Sport A/S for a week now. The Pilots are the best tires I have ever had on a car.
For the life of me, I cannot understand how Acura could have spent so much time focusing on upgrading the performance of the current generation of the TL, but totally miss the boat on one of the most important factors that affect performance, the tires.
In comparing the EL42's to the Pilots I would say that the biggest difference is that the Pilots feel glued to the road during aggressive cornering. On the other hand, the Bridgestones feel like they flatten out in heavy cornering. The Pilots give me a much greater feeling of confidence when entering a turn- almost as good as my old G35 (9/10's of the way there), which is very good. It is like I am driving a different car now that I have replaced the EL42s.
To anybody who has the EL42's on their TL's, I would highly recommend changing out to the Pilot Sport A/S.

I am not getting much satisfaction from my dealer. Are they being outright recalled or is it vehicle or dealer specific?
They told me that I would have to drop off the car so they can determine if there is a problem.
Then it will take more than a month to get the tires.
Is this right?

If I were you, I would try another dealer.
