So lets say I have a new 04 TL and in 05 they lets say add a tire pressure monitor to the Multi Info Screen, and lets say some other features like a compass and other stat things.

Do you think you'd be able to take your 04 TL in and get it updated with the new software and features? I have this question for the DVD Navi too. It seems that this should be possible because in of the major mechanical layout and chasis etc can't change. Should be some minor update features.

What do you think? Was this possible in the past?

 

This is not the software business.

Bear in mind that tire pressure monitoring likely requires changes in the wheels and sensors and wiring to pick up the data from the wheels. The software is the least of the problem.

 

Right, this is true, but that can easily be added to the tire. Do you think that Acura would install the neccessary software for the info to read on the display. I guess that is what I was refering to as software. Sorry for the confusion.

 

Not so easy to add anythign in the car. Saem prob w/ 99-00 CLK. Added wheel buttons, MID..... not much u can do about it

 

It's not just software and probably not just wheel/tire parts at that, and no, I'd be sure they'd do nothing to make it easy to upgrade an older vehicle. Why should they? They are in the business of selling new cars, not selling version 1.1 kits.
