Under Passanger Seat Question

I was just cleaning out my dad's 05 TL and when i moved the seats all the way foward, underneath the passanger seat, there was a small plastic clip but there wasnt one underneath the driver's seat... What is the clip for and should there be one under the driver seat?? Thanks

It is for the all season floor mats. They redesigned them slightly for 05, and added the hole in the mat.

They are also shaped slightly differently. The 04 mat is on the top.

It's not just for the all-seasons. The carpeted mat also has one hole on the back right mat and 2 holes on the driver's mat. Great feature!

I hear the 05 carpeted mats also have grippy teeth on the bottom; our 04 mats are lame and weak in comparison!

Huh? Strange. My '04 mats have the grippy little rubber pegs on the bottom side. But then, mine is a late build, so maybe I got an updated mat.

LOL

i strongly disagree!

i like the flat sticky bottom of the 04 mats work perfectly well...knubby teeth are old school!....but they probably changed them because of all the early threads complaning that they were 'cheap'.........such regression

Yeah, mine is just this flat, slightly-sticky foam bottom! Odd, wonder why they changed it
