Type S Trunk Spoiler

Can someone tell me the cheapest place to order this please?
Is there a replica I can get online?

I know the OEM unit requires you to drill holes for studs it has, I was going to shave those off and use 3M tape instead. Any problems there?

Also I read that I may need a stiffer trunk spring to get the trunk to open and stay up?

*Lastly I'm looking for these parts too if anyone can help or point me to the cheapest place.

Thanks for your help.

At the moment, there are no replicas for the type-s spoiler. Cheapest u can get is from one of our vendors here on the forum. I believe he can get them for $250? and depending on your color you gotta get it painted to match accordingly.

I would not recommend just taping it on your trunk. If you're gonna invest in an OEM spoiler that's over $200, get it secured and done the correct way.

Last, when i installed the type-s spoiler on my 05, i did not use the upgraded trunk spring. The only difference that i have now is that when i unlock the trunk, it doesn't pop up as high, but thats no biggy for me.. use some muscles and lift it up with ur arm.

There is a lip spoiler you can get off of ebay that is a replica of ours though i think. not sure if it's a type s relica though. i think it's something like $100 shipped or something. if you search around, you'll bound to found the threads on it.

Same here. Didn't upgrade the spring, the trunk still pops open and stays up when lifted all the way. Thats with the lip spoiler and dynamat on the trunk lid.

Last time I asked I think the price of a new Type-S spoiler was somewhere between $300-$400, and it's pretty rare to find a used one in the BM.
